I got my Package today I decided to install the Bluetooth Module INSIDE the casing. There seems to be plenty of room and it is just safer and better wiring.

I did not use the tap connector (I hate those things) I soldered to the Positive wire on the board and added a connector so the module can be removed with ease.

You know, we've never tried that. Does it work well in car?

I will let you know in a day or so, the car is at MINI right now getting the JCW brake Kit installed. I am picking it up today, at which time I will install the box, download the app and test it all out and let you know.

OK So I got the car back with the Brake Kit installed. I installed the JB4 as shown above in the pictures, the box is mounted on the top of the battery and it works perfectly.

So putting the Bt module inside the main box works just fine on the MINI Cooper.

Is it possible to show meth flow on gas gauge instead of boost? I already have a mechanical boost gauge. Would like to see more meth options on MINI.

On the EWG connector for MINI, we've shipped a few but never hear back. Maybe it's too hard to reach?

On the Grand tourer it surely is harder to use but EWG does work.

Alright everyone, brand new to the whole tuning thing but I have a JB4 installed on my B38 Mini Cooper and it keeps coming up that it’s going into the safety map. Any ideas as to why? Thanks

What does the “last safety” say? Need to go on JB4 app or plug into computer.

The saved value for last safety in the user adjustment is 0 if that helps

The MINI has a different CANbus engine so this change is specifically for the BMW X1/X2 models.

Only value I can find for safety is in user adjustments for Map 6 which I haven’t used, it’s set to 0 along with everything else. Should I be using Map 6?

Everytime I change the boost safety from 0.6 up it automatically changes it back after I hit save? Car is constantly in map 4 the JB4 is practically useless

Do you use laptop or JB4 app? Should show why its bumping you to Map 4. I think its called "last safety" or something. Then will say, Boost over safety, AFR Lean, Fuel Pressure Low, Meth Low, etc...

Car: Mini Cooper S F55
Default Firmware and CEL. - 11-05-2018, 05:34 AM

I've just installed a JB4 in my Mini Cooper S F55. My car never turned on the CEL Light before. After the JB4, using only MAP1, everytime a have a cold start, it turns on the light, the codes are:

104302 absolute pressure sensor, intake manifold, plausibility, caster: pressure too low

101f02 Throttle Angle - Intake Manifold pressure, correlation: Limit exceeded.

What are these? anyway to solve it? thanx

Because of these errors, i tried to upgrade the firmware to the latest version, but could only find the BMW_B48_B58_OBDII_9_T7.hex in the threads. Flashed it and now the JB4 mobile app can only "see" in the app the boost and map setting, all others remain in zero.

Is there any firmware made for the minis? if so, where i can find the latest version? need to fix this!

thanx and sorry for the english.

The latest question, in Brazil the "non premium" gas, has 27.5% of Alcohol, is that enough for MAP2? need the flex fluel cable? thanx.
