Stinger log check aster adding EWG connectors -
05-15-2022, 08:58 PM
I’m not getting the cut out much at all now, occasionally seeing the hpfp drop but not as much. I am looking for additional suggestions on if I should adjust any additional settings to continue smoothing this out? I have the parameters set to the suggested values on the forum for when adding the EWG connectors, only boost has been adjusted.

It's not clear on the full mod list, fuel, and what you're trying to do exactly here.

My mod list is 93 octane, the JB4 with EWG connectors, secondary down pipes, borla exhaust, CAI, TCU tune by Tork, and ECU back end flash by Tork that support piggy back systems. I am only occasionally getting the hpfp drop off now and just want to see if I should make any further parameter adjustments in duty bias, FF or others that might help with this. It’s running mid 3’s for 0-60 times so I just want to ensure I am drawing the most efficient power out of my setup right now.

This is kinda a mess right now but fixable.
First you typoed your boost profile. You went from 2-3-4-.6-.6-.6-3-4-4-3
I'm not sure why you went up, down then up and down again, and of course I think the .6 was supposed to be 6?
Next I feel that whole profile is a bit too aggressive for just 93 and no meth. Several pulls were at 25 psi or higher and pump gas just can't handle that, Timing isn't good and all over the place.
I might tone down the Map6 and or consider Meth or CPI if you want to run that hot.

I went down because boost was spiking at those rpm’s and bringing it down kept it more level. I can bring the others down a little as well to get closer to a more level 20 on boost. I do have denso plugs that were gapped smaller by a shop. Do you think I can adjust any parameters to help with timing or likely bad fuel or plugs? I do think when I last filled up they had just had a delivery of fuel so might have stirred up a bit of muck on the bottom of the tanks. I’m still learning all the different parameters and how to adjust them so I’m appreciative of your help!

Here’s a few logs from today that timing was a little closer. I didn’t change any parameters yet but fuel may have settled out or it was still trying to relearn after I made the original adjustments.

Yes this log looks much better as far as timing. I still don't understand the .6 though. I'm looking at just the ECU boost profile and it maxes at 5200 RPM, way past the point your at .6. You're taking it out between 4000 and 5000, it just doesn't pass the common sense test to me. I'd love to see a log with just 1 psi added throughout the whole RPM range. Then we can work on smoothing out that curve with a combination of boost at different RPM's and EWG together. From there, you can add boost per RPM evenly, like 1 psi, 3 psi across the whole thing.

Here’s the boost all at 1. Just did these pulls.

Good news is I see no spikes and with just 1 psi you are peaking at 23 pounds which is very safe for street and 93 fuel.
I feel at 5500 you can make it 2 psi and 6000 you can make it 3 psi. That should level the boost out a bit.
Not so good is your timing (circled). It's getting loose, due in part to the 93 and high boost you're running. Not too much to add overall unless you run a higher octane, E30, CPI, or Meth...

Ok I will try those settings and do some pulls to see the results. The timing starts going off as it gets up in gears but the car doesn’t feel like it is hesitating. I will see after I fuel up again and try some BOOSTane again.

I made the adjustments added BOOSTane to a full tank to bring octane to 96 and did a bunch of pulls. Here’s the log with these pulls. Boost seemed to smooth out more and timing still off as it moves up the gears, but car felt good with no hesitations

There's like 13 or 14 pulls in this one log, hard to make specific comments because each is a bit different than the other. Overall not bad and I would stay where you're at. As far as timing corrections, they will more than likely drop with better octane, it just takes a few days for long term adaptives to relearn and settle down.

Sorry was having too much fun data logging I guess, it feels good so I will leave it here and see how timing is in a couple days.
