My question is; if I am flashing JB4 Backend, then is there a BEF so I don't have to perform the full flash back to stock? I am re-installing my DP fix just for the inspection, then removing of course. So other than Map0 on JB4, any known way to have readiness and such for inspection? I am currently using the JB4 PUMP BEF. Thanks for the help.
You have to modify the BMS BEF to get readiness for O2 sensors. You will achieve readiness once this is changed ON ANY MAP. But, it must be set to Map 0 for any OBD2 communications, externally. Don't ask me how I know, because a friend of a friend of a friend told me about this.

You must be doing something wrong then as there are no known issues. Maybe an issue with the map you're flashing for your DME version.

Stupid question but.. the XDF files are the ones at the Bimmerboost software thread? The same for both Bimmerboost and MHD?

The same XDF files work for both, generally, with some tables only being able to be modified if flashing with MHD.

Another noob question.
With MHD Stage 1 currently on the car, what is the easiest way to adjust the Torque Request values in order to fix the Alpina B3 TCU flash functionality in D mode, while retaining the Stage 1 MHD flash?

I appreciate the knowledge.
I haven't tried what you have shown just yet. So far, I have installed the DP Fix, flashed to stage 0 per Marshal suggestion, ( however my normal flash is the BEF JB4 PUMP) and given it some drive time. I have now adjusted the DP fix from around 5'oclock position, up to around almost max. each time i made a slight change on the DP fix, i still get the 29f4, 29f5.
So going back to what Bullit mentioned.. is modifying the flash ( stage 0 or otherwise ) required to get it to read properly and give readiness?
Appreciate the help.

Default MHD update v1.20 - 12-07-2015, 09:39 AM

12/07/2025 - v1.20
- added increased boost ceiling support (MBoost option) for the 1M, z4 and 335is (ikm0s and ina0s firmwares)
- added support for the BMW X6 35i
- Load per gear can be set up in custom maps (recommended only for MT cars. For AT/DCT another method will be added).
- Increased slots for Flasher / Backend only Flasher per Google account from 3 to 6
- Fix - removed options when flashing back to stock
- Fix - Gauges min/max reset bug

Load per gear is working nicely on MT cars, on AT/DCT another method to limit power in the first gears will be needed. Once this is implemented, a flash option will be added to limit power in gears 1-3.

I have not had the chance to upgrade the g4 to a g5 yet. Does anybody know if the MHD Flash is compatible with the jb4 g4 module? 2007 335i, manufactured 11/06.

You need the recent firmware that support the menu 4/2 and 4/3 to use the BMS flash, so you will need the G5

You can upgrade to g5 and run a backend end flash. But the g4 is a little gem since it will allows you to switch to map4 and let a stand alone flash like our MHD maps to run without controlling the boost like the g5 is even on map 4.

Noticed that the SES light stays on for a few ignition cycles with the newer software and flash, while the older version from the summer was able to get rid of that annoying light.

Has anything changed for the code delete function at the end of the flash?

Is it possible to raise the idle on the BEF? Never edited bin files before. 6MT and think it would help start off engagement and reduce idle FW rattle on my car.

I have to look into my issue more but I go lean on wot. Might be o2 is what i'm thinking though. Bumps to map 4. Also happens in map 4 which is where it's currently at.

For what reason is there going to be a load limiter put on gear 1-3? what issues are known??

It's to aid in traction for high powered setups.

Enjoying the new tables discovered and the XDF progress made? if you'd like. Every bit is appreciated!

Hi guys,

Can someone have a look at this log for me please.
Not hitting target boost? Checked for errors and there is none.

Thanks in advance and appreciate any feedback!

Has anyone used MHD as a stand alone? No JB4 or Cobb just running MHD?
I wanted to know whether using it alone will show a significant difference in power?
