Cool, so with the kickdown delete does it stay in 3rd?? (using previous example)

It will downshift like it supposed to, more quiker and less slippage/luxury in d mode...in s mode will hold gears longer...it just will not downshift abruptly from say fourth to second, it will go through third quickly to get to second, this is intentional in the flash not a bug..i have a video from third when im cruising and floor it it will downshift momentarily to second to get to first, im hoping this can be a user adjustable option to enable disable kickdown delete or maybe just have kickdown delete on m mode. I have a video of what i speak about but could not upload here
I have 2 videos up on youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOp...ZAY6qEi24WTIJQ

Its not going into 2nd gear at all, just displaying that it passed 2nd gear to get to 1st. There is a delay but being in D I would expect that.

So I was attempting to do the back up and got message coding missing. Please recode your TCU properly before continuing, I have Alpina already, jb4 and mhd bef, what do I need to do to resolve this, already paid for a license, saw on website one customer had Alpina but it wasn't installed correctly, is that my issue, I have had alpina since I owned the car, my friend prior is the one who had someone flash the alpina.

This is been brought up multiple times in this thread about coding being missing. This is Clemens response and it may help you.

"As mojo already suggested, you're likely getting a "Coding missing. Please recode your TCU properly before continuing." message.

The solution is exactly what the app says:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=478

Hopefully that helps as you will need to finish the coding before you can backup and upload flash.

There are some guys on here that know how to code and can do it remotely. I would just start a thread in the support section. Title it something along the lines of someone who can finish coding your TCU.

ACHTUNG!!! Preliminary verdict.

I loaded the xHP Stage 3 flash yesterday on my black RWD sedan with RBs.
The first thing I noticed is that I now have gear selection showing in my dash, just like M5. Previously it only showed Sport mode, but now I have it for all modes. This is really cool and allows me to see how the transmission is working. Always high on my wish list.
In normal D mode the car is much more sensitive to throttle input and will jump down to 3 from 6 instantly on suburban roads (ie idling along at 40 mph.) It then shifts higher and quicker than before.
I have a dedicated Sport button, and in that mode the car is similar to D, just more responsive and quicker to look for lower gears w higher rpms.
Then I have the D/S mode that we all have, and that's the fun option now. It's like M3 performance where the car is really on its toes and looking to downshift and lock in at even less pedal input.
I still haven't gotten on the highway as we have had torrential rains and I want to live a bit longer. But will amend this post if anything seems worth mentioning.
I have an LSD in the rear and now need to kill TCS whenever I light up the drive train. Else its major slipping even with 9" 275/35/18 Michelin PSSs.

Props to the folks at xHP. Especially for including e60 in this release.
We have never had anything to improve the transmission, and this is a HUGE improvement.

Limousine if you have a sedan. Touring is e61.
Suggest you run an update of xHP. It should then identify the car via Vin when connected to car.

Tried the latest Stage 3 for E90...

D mode: WAY too aggressive. 2500 RPM upshifts is ridiculous for an "economy" mode. Upshifts shouldn't be neck breaking either, 2-3 is the worst. Downshifts are nice. City fuel economy has dropped around 6 mpg.

M mode: Downshift rev matching is excessively aggressive to the point that it's clunky and sloppy under 3000 RPM. It seems to be revving while the clutches are still engaged. Upshifts are decent, nearly identical to Alpina.

Why can't we just get a stock D mode? The engineers at BMW are the experts, don't fix what isn't broken... You need to allow the user to mix and match D and M/S modes, and implement user options for rev match aggressiveness among other things. Alpina M with stock D, that's what we've been wanting for the past 8 years...

Pretty disappointed with my purchase. Will be flashing back to Alpina then looking into custom maps.

You are on the wrong version. Flash V1.2 or V1.1.

No idea what the issue is. It's all there.

V2.2 is made for Single Turbos which lag torque down low.

I will try. Does 1.1/1.2 have the same rev matching as 2.2 in M-mode? If so I'll pass, it's definitely going to shorten the life of the transmission.

Still not sure why we can't get a stock D mode. There is nothing wrong with it.

Just read the "Changelog" in the Stage 3 map. It describes whats changed in each version. The blips will smooth out over time. As the blips get faster, the timing window where they are smooth gets narrower. Depending on your transmission's condition and your current adaption values this may take some time.

There are multiple versions included in Stage 3, so that people can pick what they like most. Theres no "One for all" in transmission setups.

Reading your lines I suggest to use V1.1.

Yup, 1.1 is much better! Well done!

I would consider renaming your map versions. The tendency is for users to go with the latest version to get the latest updates, but your veeaions are meant for different applications.

So do i just re-write the file? Does it have a new name or version to choose?
