Question Need help... JB4 is practically useless... - 08-22-2019, 07:08 PM

I have a bunch of problems with my JB4. When running on map-0 everything is perfect. The instant I put it on map-1 and push it a bit, everything goes to hell and Iím having drivetrain malfunctions and limp mode.

The motor is almost new, BMW Canada replaced it last December and it has less than 8000km

I replaced the oem plugs for 2 step colder

I always put 94 octane and tried 96 with no improvement

I canít do a 3rd pull log since the car wonít do more than 2-3 seconds on full throttle.

I realized this afternoon that the FP low is almost always maxed out (displaying 96-106 on the JB4 app) even on idle or low throttle.

I did a log while driving like a granny, you can see the FP and timing are kinda weird and really high.

Anyone can help and suggest anything? :

The N63 has always been a problematic platform when trying to push boost on it.

There is no full throttle in this map0 log. I also don't see a listing of the fault codes coming up.

The N63 JB4 connects to each TMAP connection and then to OBDII for CANbus. There should be no wires attached/installed in the ECU area.

If I had know this I wouldnít have bought the JB4 in the first place and got a tune instead.

There are no wires connected in the dme
Both TMAPs and the OBD2 are properly connected
I have no fault codes or CEL except the ones related to my ***-less DeePeeZ

Terry, I have sent you a direct email (reply from our previous ones) to show you the result of a scan with an app and even a professional scanner had the same results. Maybe itís the maps, the connections, the wires, I donít know at this point but the car is running perfect either with the JB4 uninstalled or on map-0. So the moment the JB4 is trying to do his thing, everything goes to hell.

Iím knoda desperate now and was stuck with a half running car all summer and the only thing the JB4 is good for (on my car) is giving me logs and telemetry
