I always drive it like I stole it and I never caught much oil in RR or BSH can either. It would seem though that in all cases, with any can installed, I consume oil much faster, like a quart every 1K to 2K miles as opposed to maybe a quart in 5K with the stock PCV setup. Sounds like enrita and themyst may have had somewhat similar experiences... I hear everyone say you have to use a catch can, but it just doesn't seem like it's working for me and I don't have enough knowledge/experience know what's the best thing to do. So yeah, bring on the discussion.

Its possible you have an issue with your oil catch can installation or other PCV valves. There are 2 of them. One if this is very easy to fix/replace, and is like $25. The other is the one I am trying to address.

I really do not see if all else is well a nice high quality high flow OCC like the BMS unit causing problems.
So today I uninstalled all mods aside from ********* and FMIC for upcoming dealer visit. This gave me an opportunity to check on a few things. Definitely no problems with the OCC install itself, all connections good, nothing pinched, etc. Also, to credit to the BMS OCC, while I'm not necessarily accumulating much much oil in the can, the inlet line and can have a thick coating while the outlet line is totally dry, so that seems good.

Def keeping an eye on this thread. Will probably pick one of these up if testing goes well. If you need more testers let me know. Very interested. I work for a European shop so I can have this on in no time.

By the end of week I should have the parts ready to make this happen. I have PMs and what not in place for the testers. Will reach out to those selected later this week for your address and to let you know. Please try to make this a priority getting it installed. It is a very simple SIMPLE install.

I will expect that after you install you post in this thread about the part, observations, install, etc... and your before and after outcome. Nothing major just a quick rundown.

Thanks,
Rob

Have your addresses. You all will get one.

This should get plenty of testers out there. Please make this a priority and be vocal about the swap and observations in this thread whether good or bad. I truly think it will be a mod that most will end up making after your feedback. Well worth the peace of mind IMO.

Thanks,
Rob

Does a leaky PCV valve mean losing HP or harm to the engine?

It could cause power loss, oil consumption, oil leaks, smoke out the exhaust, dirtier valves, etc. This component definitely should be serviceable. I am hoping the results from my testers are satisfactory and also hope once they approve of the new RB PCV2 for full time use that they will send back their old original units so I can see how they weather the test of time. The unit I tested of my own did not perform nearly as well as the new unit yet it is in very good condition. I can only imagine that some have older worn or coked up units that are in really bad shape but time will tell.

Thanks Rob.

I installed the Riss Racing OCC a while ago and messed up the OEM hoses, I think those can be purchased at low cost. Go with BMS OCC and your PCV valve

All of my materials still have not came in. Hopefully next week. I do have addresses ready for 9 testers getting the RB PCV2 for a free trial, you guys know who you are.

Thanks,
Rob

Exactly why I'm interested in this. Every so often my car will dump some smoke at stop lights. Really only seems to happen when I've been cruising for a little bit. And then other times it doesn't happen at all. Which leads me to believe is a PCV issue. I also feel car doesn't feel as powerful as other times. Want to install this and then shortly after do a carbon cleaning once I see how this PCV valve works out.

How's the testing going? Any of you testers install this on your car yet?
