How exactly would it be useless? Our stock ones max out at 20 and that means I can’t go up in boost. I’m already hitting 17-20psi depending on the air temp outside so once I put my ********* on and 5 gallons of e85 yes it will definitely help me get beyond the point of throwing codes or whatever difficulties you guys go through. I’m also doing a tune on top of the jb4 so I will be doing a setup that holds a constant 24psi

I don’t know what cheap chinese TMAPs you’re running but I presently go up to 25psi on a heatsync stage 2 tune without issues.

Just an FYI for people like me who were under the impression we needed 3.5 bar tmaps to go beyond 20psi. i have a vivid racing stage 2 flash with the jb4 along with VRSF ************ *********s ARM cold air intake N63intakes oil cooler valve ngk 2 step colder plugs this is on a n63 NON TU...on map 0 I’m running 17psi map 1 22-23 and map 2 23-24psi...so no need to add these unless you are turbo swapped

You absolutely need 3.5bar sensors to safely run over 20psi. Otherwise, you're just asking to smoke your motor due to out of control boost.

Do I go from the pics on this page for choosing the connectors?
https://burgertuning.com/collections...cts/n63-stage1
Also for the BCM connections do I purchase a BCM or is that made to the car?

Terry can I get some help. I have downloaded new firmware for my ,13 x5 50i. But nothing on app works but the boost gauge. And when in map 1 or 2 boost doesn't get over 9 psi and runs sluggish. Is something wrong with my jb4? Advice?

Yes. There’s a setting for TMAP. 0 is stock, 1 is 3.5 BAR and 2 is 4 BAR.

What map are you going to run map 6? I’m pretty experienced with this ECU and non tu setup. If you are looking to put in some work on the streets you will want to get a real flash from heatsync-performance euro, along with the jb4 stacked. Without getting into detail too much the jb4 is simply better off left in map 2 until then. I ran 23k miles on a super aggressive tune in a 2011 750i and ran a personal best on 11.89 and a consistent 11.95-12.00 any day of the week at any red light on dragy. But there are plenty of customers who simply got some stage 1 flash or some jb4 and ********* and have blown engines. A remap of this engine from a legit place will ensure you lay the smack down and it’s lasts. I believe I had the fastest 7 series non tu RWD car in existence you can always text me if you got questions 346-219-3863 as there is way more to this and I could help you way more in depth… I’m

Not clear what you're asking but the boost safety setting should be set 2-3psi above the highest intended boost target. So it only trips the safety if boost is going higher than you expect.

Any help would be appreciated. I have a 2011 550i 6spd manual.
BMW reman engine with 9k miles.
New in last 1500 miles OE NGK plugs, Bosch coils, air filters.
Only mods to the car are Meisterschaft exhaust with x Pipe and BMS throttle tuner.
The car had a drivetrain malfunction at the end of this log (5th gear).
I did have a code 102302 MAF air mass too high
I do have 2 step colder plugs, but haven't installed yet.
Thanks!
