Default More psi? Update log* - 03-05-2018, 08:49 PM

Guys I figured I'd be able to hit slightly higher psi with fbo + meth + e35 on bef?

Does anything look strange in theses logs?

*having issues with the log, re-uploaded it now*

Running map 3 93 octane + e35 and 100 denatured alcohol. Flow at 7 psi with additive at 80.

It always surprises me when people have post counts higher than 100 and don't take proper logs. Not only are they better for analysis, they are also better for adaptions.

??? I had traction control off 4th gear log from 2700 to 6800 rpm. Isnt that an ideal log? I know it should be 2k-7k 3rd or 4th gear log. Am I missing something?

Both logs are pretty short. Your 4th gear log only goes up to about 4300 rpm. If you look at meth flow, it's barely coming on before the log ends so it's hard to get a good read off of it.

Not trying to argue here. I'll go grab a longer log when I have time. Is this not what is showing up though?

That is not a log you posted or you corrupted the log before posting it. Both logs only have 12 lines of data.

much better

Pretty clean with a couple minor timing corrections.

HPFP is struggling though.

So I'll back the 35 down a little bit? I may have been closer to e40. Does it look like there is any room for improvement?

I just think it's strange that other people seem to hit similar boost and timing with less mods and less octane/ no meth?

As I stated, you already had a couple minor timing corrections so pushing it more or lowering ethanol content will only result in more corrections.

Thanks for the feedback Steve. I have a basic understanding of logs, but I've been trying to learn more about the fine tuning.

I realize that time corrections are often realated to octane rating.

To me it looks like the hpfp is on the limit because it dipped down to 8-9 at one point. The trims looks ok to me, but are trending on the higher side.

My thought would be to back off the ethanol content a little to stress the hpfp less. If I back of the ethanol a little bit I should back off the boost a little because I am lowering octane.

I guess my question is.... Is there any fine tuning I can do with the other jb4 settings... fol, FF/wastegate adaptation, pid gain etc.

I have read over these functions quite a few times which thread has given me a decent idea of what is good and bad, but I am struggling to get past that point.

Do you have any pointer for settings to look at? What maybe I should mess with or not mess with? Or maybe my log is about as good as it is going to get now?

I appreciate the help

Try increasing your methanol percentage or nozzle size.

Boost is boost...manipulating those settings is only going to affect boost response...if you don't have enough octane to run the amount of boost you want, those adjustments are going to do nothing to compensate for lack of octane.
