Attached are map3 log on e30.
Now the car feels great powervise.
Im having issues with overboost/pulsating boost.
New oem magnetic valve on turbo side.
Forge recirc valve with Green spring.

Any idea what to do, so the pulsating ends?
Does the log look ok otherwise?

Are there any plans to add wastegates controll to regular kia firmware as on stinger?

On EWG control we do at some point, will probably need to rent one of those cars for a month or two so we have time to sort it out. Not the kind of thing we can resolve in a day or two.

Log on map2 for comparison?

I might take you up on that at some point! Just hate to have to hang on to a customers car so long not knowing whether or not we'll be able to do what we want.

The boost oscillation is on 4-6th gear.
Any ideas?
Similar problems on the veloster with 1,6gamma?

I don't feel it at Wot. But at half throttle under moderate boost I feel a bit of surging. Its annoying. I think it's load/boost thing the ecu doesn't like so it closes the throttle. I have logged part throttle acceleration and it shows the throttle adjusting. Just my guess. Sir Terry would know best.

I think I know what your talking about, it seems the car doesn't want to go as hard as it wants to and then REALLY goes.

Overall it's noticeable but not a problem. IMHO I think a PCM flash will fix that with modified load targets and torque limits.

Which is why I'll be stacking soon, it will allow the JB4 to work it's best. If you look over in the BMW or VAG/VW community you see stacked cars are much faster than with either a flash or JB4 alone.

Terry doesn't talk about it much because most people just don't understand it. It's the same mental block that prevent people from running E85 with water methanol injection; many think it's overkill.

It's the right amount of overkill... Running E85 doesn't solve high ambient temperatures problem which cause high inlet temps and timing pull if too high.

Rocky Mountain Race Week runs in Oklahoma which will be just as hot as Southern California is. Sunday-Thurs the track goes hot (no pun) at 4 pm CST. That's typically when peak ambient temp is reached.

I can wait around for DA to drop around 8-9pm or it might not. As seen this week in Southern California even at night it's 90 degrees.

Pushing more boost creates more heat and must be accounted for.

Is it ok to run e30 mix on map 0-3 or only map 3?
And ok with both fuel wire off and on?
Trying to find a combo that works without boost pumps

Get rid of the aftermarket BOV?

Seems to me that's too much to deal with just to have a BOV noise.

Honestly the only time I heard my Turbosmart BOV on my Focus ST is at high load/WOT, not just driving around at part-throttle. I only made that mod because the factory Borg Warner K03 had a built-in valve and the Garrett GTX3071 didn't.

Maybe you need to rethink that.

Pump gas is not knock free it will make more power on Map 1 than i does on pump gas.

I ran E20 on the stock tune and picked up 6 whp overall and as much as 10 whp in some parts of the powerband.

I've also run E20 on Map 2, no knock.

But since I use my car for work, I've bump back down to Map 1 to retain my fuel economy.

I don't like speeding tickets which is why I am looking forward to next week.

The wastegate actuator on my k03 is stock.
The oem bov/rcv on the ic had a broken diaphrame so i bought a forge recirculating spring valve. Just for the cause to live longer than oem crap. Not open air vent.

But maybe the oem actuator isnt up for the task and causing the overboost/pumping boost. Or needs adjusting.
The solenoid at the turbo is a new oem.
Havent changed the one controlling the forge rcv.

I wasn't sure if your Proceed was the older Gamma I car or the Gamma II which have a electronic wastegate.

You can upgrade to the Forge wastegate or Turbosmart that fits the Focus ST/VW Golf GTI K03 should work as well.

They have much stronger springs. I picked up 1.5 mph by holding more boost in the 1/4 mile tightening the stock wastegate actuator arm.

You might want to try that first which is to check the actuator arm and make it as tight as possible without binding.

The stock wastegate will hold boost better.

Oh and to add the upgraded boost control solenoids that Tork, Sxth and other sell supposedly works better than the stock unit and it's a standard motorsport level MAC valve not the plastic unit used by the factories.

So to try and sort this out......
Car is rebuilt to stock. Stock spark plugs.
Only mods are:
an8 fuel line
Forge recirculation dump valve.
Mid resonator/silencer delete
Jb4 map0

Now the boost feels stable.
But does the ignition etc look ok?
Does some spiking etc.

Maybe coils/sparks are bad and causing pumping boost on map 1 - 3?
M45xl gapped 0.024
Should i try and swap coil place.

I am suppose to see violent boost spiking? I don't.

Also when you post imagines you might want to use an online image editor or MS Paint to reduce the it to 640x480.
