I just got the MT ET Streets in size 255/50-16 installed today. At first I was really concerned with fender clearance, as I'm no stranger to witnessing tires being wasted on a launch due to lack of clearance. But after some testing I'm feeling a little better. I'm not saying I'm in the clear, but I suspect I might be.
I had my wife record a video of me power braking the car to see how close the tires got to the fenders, and it appears the clearance is fine. Now I just need to get this thing back to the track on a decent DA day for some mid 11's on stock turbos and stock inlets.
The wheels stick out a little too far for my liking, but I had to install 15mm spacers to avoid additional grinding on the calipers. I didn't want to push my luck with more grinding, especially not with a 1/2mile event coming up.
Nice setup mate! I didnt want to grind my calipers so i went with 17x8.5's with 275 slicks. Hoping to test them at the track tomorrow night. I pray nothing breaks lol
