Default E30 without Flex Fuel Kit? - 07-13-2020, 11:42 AM

Hey guys, been a while. Used to be an active member when I had my 135i about 10 years ago. Man time flys!

Opened up a dyno shop finally, and we have a Q60 that just got a baseline done. 301hp and 293tq. We are installing JB4 w/ fuel wires, Intakes, and Heat Exchanger this weekend and will stick it back on the rollers. We would like to use an E30 mix to give our customer the option to make even better power.

Can we use and E30 mix without the Flex Fuel kit? Assuming yes as long as the mixture stays consistent?

Thanks for the help!

If you're doing tuning you should know that a higher ethanol content changes the stoich value. People do it on this platform and basically they're relying on the closed loop fuel trims to save them. It's not a great idea and many have trouble.
