Default difference after installing itg induction kit - 04-17-2020, 12:55 AM

Hi mate,

Quick question.
No issue with map1 and map2 (with HKS spark plugs) before installing itg induction kit.
Log_20200409 is map1 with factory plug.
Log_20200412 is map2 with HKS M45XL (re-gapped as recommended).
Log_20200416 & 20200417 are map0 with HKS M45XL & itg induction kit
* same petrol station & same fuel Octane on 93.

I installed itg induction kit (For i30N) to Veloster N a couple of days ago.
After the installment, I can't even use map1.
I'm just wondering why even map1 turned into map0. (boost safety maybe?)
Any guess from the Logs with itg induction kit?
I'm just thinking to use map6 with 3.5~3 target only if it seems over-boosted.

Differences before and after I found is that AFR is a little higher than stock.
and, WGDC and FF Values but, those parameters are not enabled for Hyundai or Kia as far as I know.
Give me your thoughts.

If you're clipping the boost safety at 21psi then then just raise it up a bit maybe to 25psi. Many of these runs are too short for me to evaluate on the tuning end.

Terry,

Plz see attached log.
I know this is not a proper log but you will see the point that Map6 was off.
I don't find any suspicious values and don't know why.
Any advice will be appreciated.

At half throttle boost is too low for me to determine whether the tuning is working. But it's easy enough to switch back to map1 for a test run and log if you think you've created a problem with your map6 settings.

That map6 setting is the same as map1 boost value.
I think the problem is not about map6.
When I used map1 or map2, I had the same problem..
It works ok in the beginning but the problem is happening after driving 100km~200km.

By the way, I'm thinking to reinstall the factory intake to test.
I'm very sure JB4 will work so well with it as it was before.

The only thing I don't understand is why it doesn't work with itg induction kit.. lol
Weird..

After 15 minutes re-installation of factory intake, JB4 works perfectly (Log may be too short).
The only thing I don't understand is why itg intake for i30N didn't work properly.
It seems too big for 2L engine... sad..............

Any opinions?

Terry,

Please look all logs I uploaded and explain.
With itg induction kit, WGDC value becomes 50 (0 with factory intake).
Is it why boost is too low?
If so, advise me.
I want to use itg intake.
