Does anyone have any dragy or vbox data for the m550i? I have a dragy on the way and would like to compare results!

I have a 2013 BMW 550 with the N63 engine. There is much negative publicity on this engine. I am curious if you personally have issues with this engine and what they were. Mine is approaching 140 000 km and expect for heavy oil consumption, have no issues. Should I keep the car for another 30 to 40 k? I love the car and in general it has been great.

M550I uses n63TU gen engines which remedies most of the issues the n63 had. Having owned both the n63 is a ticking time bomb in every aspect. From timing chains, chain guides, rod bearings, valve seals the list goes on.

This is patently false, with the N63TU2 being in this car, not the N63TU (depending on the year..if you have a 2020+, it's the TU3). Biggest issue with the TU was oil burning (enough to have a class action against it and settled, resulting in the CCP).

This, however, is not what you originally said, nor is it the engine he was talking about. Dramatic differences between N63, N63TU, N63TU2, and N63TU3, not just from a hardware standpoint, but a reliability one, too.
