Default New Install JB4 with WMI and EWG - 07-15-2018, 03:57 PM

Just purchased JB4, WMI and EWG for my 2017 M240i. Based on review of the installation instructions on Burger Web page for CARB compliant JB4 on B58 it is not clear if I can get to Map 7 for the WMI.

Does anyone know if you can use the WMI with a CARB compliant JB4? Is there a way to tell if a new JB4 is CARB compliant or get the other Maps back that were apparently removed along with not being able to update firmware.

I don't live in California

Note from the installation instructions

Note that only the settings above can be adjusted on the JB4_B58 (CARB Approved Model) and the ability to update firmware or change additional settings have been physically blocked from the unit.

If you are not in CA then you don't have the CARB approved JB4, the interface won't detect you're in California, and have no limitations.

Terry thanks for the information. The more I find out about the programming the more I am impressed.
