Default What is THE best N54 manual, from an Electrical perspective? - 07-25-2018, 09:31 AM

Hi all,

I know there are Bentley and other manuals.
I'm trying to determine which is the best from an electrical troubleshooting perspective.

Thanks

Ista+ is probably the best as it is very in depth, if you know how to use it

Thanks rkreimer10.

I checked the link about, but didn't locate any vanos specific detail.

Ista+, is that the interactive diagnostic software? Or is there also a 'manual' of sorts?

Bentley has thorough wiring diagrams and connection location pictures woth OBD II/BMW code listings. It does not have detailed, pin point diagnosis steps with expected voltage readings you are probably looking for.

Thanks for that dmckmc.

In the end, if nothing else pops up, I'll likely buy Bentley.
I like good mechanical info, but also solid electrical info. Too bad most stuff focuses on mech.
