BTW, did anyone ever confirm for 100% that if you flash using the stealth method there is NO error codes left on N55 engines? A bit paranoid since the dealer found my old error code during a scan and the code was not user removable.

You need to clear history also when you clear codes and you can do that with INPA.

Make sure you have enough memory in your hard drive to import the files...Error means not enough memory

It is not possible on the E60. I have tried every combination of options and something will not allow this flash to work on the E60. You can flash it all day long, but you will get a transmission error and it won't go into gear.

So, the only option for the E60 is the sport flash which if you have S1 in sport, then you already have it. Those with DS can surely benefit from the sport flash. Anyone looking to get this done should contact me or Steven (cn555ic). You can email me at WedgePerformance @ Gmail.

Just wanted to say that this is a great guide and Steven was very helpful. Worked beautifully on my X1 35i. This was probably a ton of work figuring out, if you can throw some paypal his way to thank him.

To be honest, no... DIY's were already posted for WinKFP on BMW Coding back in 2009. The only thing we didn't have was the assembly number which was posted by Tomaz on BB back in January. I was the one who informed Steven and I was the first to flash my car in North America. Although Steven did do a lot of digging to put together the DIY on BB which to be honest I didn't want to do... he does deserves respect... We have come a long way from then. I also have ECU Finder now and BMW Coding Tool which has an update function for WinKFP that makes it much easier. I also put together my own automated installation for remote coding. What took an hour to setup now takes less than 5 min even on the slowest of laptops. But, donations are always welcome, so if you in the mood for giving please do so.

Don't be jealous, I donated to you too last year when I flashed my old car and you helped me! The DIY is kind of important - all the work in the world behind the scenes is useless to me and the rest of the public without a comprehensive DIY.

Is there any trans flash for late F10 5's ? I have a 2013 535 with paddle shifters and this trans flash looks badass, want it so bad!

I looked into this possibility extensively, and the problem is that the E60 uses a different version of ZF 6SAT transmission (6HP21). It is designed to handle a specific weight range that is a bit higher than the 1, 3 and X3 platforms (6HP19), has larger friction plates too. Similarly the TCU module is different and specific to E60 6 cylinder cars.
I was hoping to flash an Alpina B5 transmission file, but that is married to yet another ZF tranny version that all the V8 models share (6HP26). (Bigger engine, more weight, so different gearing and torque factors probably.)
Unless the TCU files become available via Open Source there is nothing we can do short of replacing mechanical parts (rebuild transmission valve body and such).

Sleeper 5 series
Performance: Pro tuned MHD, xHP Stage 3 TCU flash, DCI, AR kittens, ER FMIC & CP, Fuel-It Stage 2 LPFP w ported rail, RB turbos, RB inlets, KW V2, Mfactory LSD
Audio: Jehnert Flatline speakers, Mobridge M1000 DA2 digital preamp, Helix P-DSP, Zapco Z-150.6 amp, CIC iDrive upgrade

I'm going to throw it out on the table and what everyone does with it is completely up to the person with the deepest pockets... The 335d is also using the 6HP26, same transmission as the 4L v8 X5 and the Alpina B5. No one has tried flashing a 335d to the Alpina B5 transmission, so we have no clue as to how it will handle the flash, but there is only one way to find out, do it. Can always flash it back if it doesn't work.

So, with that said... because the 6HP26 fits in the 335d, what's stopping someone from putting that transmission into a 335i/535i? I don't have the money, time or facilities to do something like this. But if it works, it would be a game changer for the AT ST and Big Twin cars.

Agree with the above. There is every reason to believe that an Alpina B5 flash would work on a 6HP26, which is exactly what the Alpina is using. It's probably a bolt on swap from 6HP19 or 6HP21, and you would trade in your current transmission as part of that swap to keep costs down.
6HP26 was also used in 7 series, and in a slew of other luxury cars like Audi A8, VW Phaeton, Maserati, Hyundai Genesis, etc.
Here's an ebay option: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-Complete...3dd4d9&vxp=mtr

For $20 you can get a K+DCAN cable and I can help you remotely. Shoot me an email WedgePerformance at Gmail and I'll get you some information and help you get everything you need to get this setup.

FYI, I have a 335d (registered here just for this post) and plan to flash it with the E63 sport profile.

I originally wanted to go with the B5 profile but realized the maps are probably tailored to a gasser. Who knows, I may try both to see if there is any difference.

This all came about because i flashed a local guy's 335i with the B3 and wow....what a difference.
