Thanks for replying and the information, appreciated it!

Now I have better understanding of the cable and the INPA software. The one stop electronic one only sell the cable for $99, no INPA software. So the link u posted, they sent u 4 Discs, is one of them the INPA software and 3 instructions?

Injectors: I see your post that the SMP injectors are exactly the same as OEM one and much much cheaper from Rock Auto. Have u installed yet? I assume they are working?

Thanks,

Members - after helping a few N54 customers I was told about this forum. In the next few days I will be offering members a price on a package they can buy specifically for the N54 with instructions. While most have already been done, I will work at translating all function is German to English.

http://www.amazon.com/SainSpeed-Inte...bmw+inpa+cable

fulfilled by amazon means it doesn't take 2 weeks shipped from china.

vasillalov has a free setup package with everything you need for injectors (I wont link it, but n54 injector coding).... although it still may be worth it to pay for a full english version from EUAutoHaus if you plan to do anything else in INPA.

iebmwcoding: thanks for the link. I heard different feedback from getting the Amazon one, some say it works, some say don't buy it. Don't know what is the truth. Have you try it and it works? Anyone tried it, please feedback.

TIA

It also indicates "SainSpeed BMW INPA K+CAN is OBD2 to USB interface for BMW cars. It allows full diagnose of BMW from 1998 to 2008 cars." I think it's up to 3/2008. Mine is 2009, so it might not work.

according to my amazon history, that's the one that I bought... and it came without the 7 and 8 soldered, which is what interferes with whatever they put back on pin 8 (ethernet or something).

I know i've coded a couple newer cars, but it's your call/your money. Most of the people saying cables dont work have software issues, or have pre e90/60, which require you to solder pin 7 and 8 together for that cable (or make a switch).

Default Question for BES335xi - 06-11-2014, 04:59 PM

Hi BES,

Thanks for the detailed instruction on the DIY injectors swap. Get one question for you:

You mentioned that you used "BMW INPA / Ediabas K+DCAN USB Interface" to input the new injector values. I searched around and found a place only sells the interface but don't sell the software. Could you let me know where I can buy both the interface and software from one place/site?

Thanks

fmic20g - just follow the "vassillalov Injector Coding" link from the first post, the software you need is there, free to download =) In fact it is recommended you use that tried and tested version, rather than whatever version random sellers will ship to you if you buy via ebay (btw, I bought 2 cables off ebay and neither worked, ended up getting the expensive one!).

Thanks Fed! I will download the zip files and instruction from Vas's link and buy the expensive cable. The expensive one u mentioned is the one from One stop electronic, right?

Thanks again,

Allen

Gentleman, Anyone wishing to purchase this can send an email WIth subject line "N54tech.com offer" and I will provide a cable for their vehicle along with the entire EBAS Tools Suite for $80 shipped.
Again, there is a lifetime warranty on all of our cables. The only competitor in the world that can come close to the quality of the cables offered would be in the EU (One Stop Electronics). You simply need to send this email, provide your username and make sure to provide last 7 of your VIN and you will get an invoice and followup emails with tracking info.
Thanks,
Sam

gsodonis,

Couple questions: Besides reading the error code and erasing it, can the package do coding for new injectors and new battery registration. What other programming things the software can do?

Thanks,

Allen

Sorry for the late response - moving across town and packing PODS takes time.
To answer your questions, yes, I did code my new injectors and can register my new battery. I can read and clear codes. I can test anything hooked up to the CANBUS.
I haven't played with all of the features but I know that I can also customize settings (locking, unlocking, beeps when doing so, open all windows by depressing and holding the unlock button for three seconds, etc. My BMW tech told me I can do more in less time than he can with the dealer's setup, I just haven't had the need yet.
If I end up doing nothing more than coding my new injectors, I will have already saved a ton over what even my independent BMW mechanic wanted to charge.
If anyone on the boards is in the Knoxville TN area, I'll gladly help code injectors for a small fee.
Good luck and know that the software and cables work.

OE Siemens VDO BMW injectors. Not just similar - they are IDENTICAL, OEM; they even have the BMW roundel laser engraved on the body.
Rock Auto now has 2 options. The Standard Motor injectors are $132, but they have Airtex/Wells for $90. Anyone with experience regarding these as OEM?

Received the Airtex/Wells part - Index 12, with BMW Logo and looks to be OEM.

Hey guys, I replaced my 6 injectors yesterday and used this diy. Everything went good up until when I enter the values from the injectors on the computer and hit enter. I get the following message.

ERROR_ECU_CONDITIONS_NOT_CORRECT_OR_REQUEST_SEQUEN CE_ERROR

Does anyone know what I should do?

Thank for the diy, you guys rock.
