Default Dyno run today! - 05-11-2013, 03:36 PM

got a chance to run on the dyno today. had 3 pulls but the first two where map 5 and where damn near the same. so the photo shows map5 and stock.
mods jb4 g5 iso bms dci custom chargepipe synapsebov. and 7gallons of e85 rest 91

pretty damn good!

Looks good. Definitely more power in there with a stronger mix.

Looks great. Trims are good. It knocked a lil @6000rpm but it was past your power peak anyway. I would have thought 7 gal of E85 would have been enough to have a knock free run!

Youd think but I think maybe because I'm running factory plugs and I'm at 65k miles . Wanna get ngks I missfire every so often . But it was fun my first dyno. Ever :D

So basicly you have determined knocking by throtle lose from the log or something else ?


2008 335XI(E92) AT/ garrett gtx3582r with jpworks manifold 1.06AR housing/ tial mv-s 38mm wgs(13.5 psi springs)/ tial bov/ fuel it level1 upgrade/ index 12 injectors/ N20 Map sensor/JB4 ST TS BEF with MHD/ Alpina Flash for now.

Generally there will be an abrupt drop in ignition timing accompanied by an increase in avgign. It may drop 1-3 degrees and avg ignition will rise by 0.5-1. It varies from car to car, depending on how severe the DME perceives knock.

Thanks for info But what about drops on gear changes.
I see from logs on my car that I have timing drops on all gear changes is that ok?
