I had a flashing CEL the other day on cold start.
Engine had a slightly rough idle. While CEL was flashing, I scanned for codes using the JB4 app with the engine running but none found. The CEL never went solid and no error msgs.

Stopped the engine , restarted and CEL was gone and idle was fine. Drove around for hours right afterwards and had no issues, and haven't since.

Not too worried as it seems like a one time hiccup so far. Just an FYI and to see if anyone has input.

Hey guys i have the 2017 c63s, f1 *********, straight piped all the way through, BMS intakes, plus the jb4 tune.

My idol is really rough. If I sit at a light for to long in any map but map 1 my engine light will start flashing n mid fires occur. When the car is moving it’s fine just when I stop I see problems.

I started running 30% mixture e85 and it ran great in map 3/4 the whole
Day but towards the end once I started doing pulls the jb4 kept putting itself to map 8 “valet mode” my boost safety is at 25 and fuel loop is at 30 so I’m not sure what’s going on. Any 3rd gear pull as soon as I hit high rpms it’s straight to map 8.

If someone can give me some insight that would be much appreciated.

random question - did the firmware files get removed from first post? can't see them there anymore

The firware files are located here now: Platform Firmware Manager Yeah, it took me a minute as well. A version 6 is now available.

We don't have gear in there yet but boost by speed remains active and one of the most useful user adjustments in the app!

It's in the app now, and a link is provided for those few using a datacable/laptop.

hi there, i run 94 petro canada in my E63S
i wanna to run map 3 map 1 and 2 seem good on 94 octane. what do you guys recommend for me to do in order to run map 3. my best time is 10.58 in 132 mph on map 2 on 94 octane. let me know what you guys think. which octane booster is the one you guys recommend

You need meth injection, ethanol (E85), or race gas for maps 3 - 5. I run those maps successfully on my C63 with about E30-E35 mix, by mixing E85 and 93 pump.

None of the octane boosters you can buy and add to the tank of pump gas are going to be enough.

Do you guys think I need to change spark plugs sometimes I have a rough ideal.
What do you guys think? The code doesn’t clear it comes right back w a flashing check engine and idles very rough

those are misfires i believe. Do you get them on map 0 or just higher maps?

I get them in all the maps just changed an injector on warranty and only 4 spark plugs maybe I should change the other 4 as well?

I just finished installing it on my 2020 glc63. It fired up without any CEL's, but I don't have RPM or throttle readings. Everything is connected properly, I even unplugged and plugged the obd2 wire and still no rpm/throttle.

If it's a 2020 model be sure to update to the 2020 C63 firmware to enable CANbus!

Got the update and it's working now, Thanks.

I did a couple of pulls this morning (before the fix) and I got decent numbers.



My best 0-60 stock


I ran out of road on the 1/4 mile run and had to hit the brakes.



My best 1/4 times stock. Based on the 1/8th times, I'm getting around 5mph over stock.

I've read through this entire thread and it seems like it is possible to stack an aftermarket ECU tune and JB4. What is the best method to get dialed it properly? Who exactly should I message or email with Map 0 logs?

I just emailed Terry, but also wanted to include them here in case anyone else on the forum wanted to chime in.

The two most recent files were short highway pulls to redline. The older file was a dyno pull in 5th gear. All done on map 0 with 93 oct.

hey so again i have misfire codes,P0305, P0306, P0308 those cylinder did in fact have spark plugs and injectors changed at the dealer i changed 6 injectors and all the spark plugs the car went on limp mode twice because it showed the afr was lean. i have a E63 S AMG 2018 im a lost of words of what to do. its either someone helps me to solve the problem or im removing the unit from the car
