Hey Terry is it possible to get a update of the Pump flash to make the AFR less lean before 3k rpm ?
If i floor it in 3rd gear before 3200 rpm my afr goes to 16-17 all the time and then gets back to 12-13 after that....
id like to have a bef dialed so i can floor it before 3.2k and not worry about going super lean and causing detonation to potentially blow my lovely n55 engine
anyone has experience this ?

We've always cooking up changes! Right now I'm working on the N55 E series virtual flex fuel sensor logic and related BEF and JB4 programming.

Hi Terry, sorry if this has already been answered but just want to know what the recommended BEF map is for FBO, Stage 2 LPFP, PS2 turbo, TBI. Would you go with E85_PI or E85_PI_ST?

E85_PI_ST is for Single Turbo applications. If running ~40% or more E85, then use the E85_PI flash with your TBI setup.

If I plan on running 28/30 psi and (pi) E85 straight with meth cm7 50/50 is a shelf map still ok or do i need a custom tune?

@ Stoolz, just watch out for full pump crashing. I still get some crashing at high PSI on straight e85. I have had to play with the tune, specifically the load ceiling, to keep it from happening. If it happens to you, look at the load ceiling but also consider moving to a pump to e85 blend. I have been putting 3 gallons of 93 in each fill to make it easier on my hpfp.

So even with PI the hpfp still has issues?
That's a bummer, I really wanted to run straight E85.
Thanks for the advice.

MHD update 1.1 -
05-31-2017, 01:22 AM
- Added "Remove top speed (VMAX) limiter" flash option
- Added "OEM/catted ***" flash option
- Added DME fault codes history
The open speed limiter settings were not working on all cars. Now it should! And rather than baking it into the maps, we implemented it as flash option, so it can be used on any map, OTS maps of course, even stage 0, custom tunes, or BMS maps.

Will the deactivation of the Vmax work at the last JB4 BEF? Or you only changed it for MHD Maps? (For cars where it does not work before)
@Terry
Do I need a DP fix for the BEF or it is disabled at this files?

It says flash time option so yes it will work for you as well. You just have to update your apps and then select it before you reflash.

Nice, hope the VMAX issue is finally resolved now. I'll adjust the BEF maps to "enable" the speed limiters by default. So they can be disabled with this new option.

Hey can we get rid of the 321F codes on Euro cars?

If MHD adds it to the N55 XDF we can load it in to the BEF files.

Terry or MHD, can you add the option to flash the BEF as manual transmission (or xHP option) since xHP will allow the transmission to handle the actual torque? My car has all kinds of issues (doesnt hit boost, timing drops) when running both (bef and xhp) together but others who run only mhd flash and xhp with manual transmission option selected dont. I'm staying sith alpina flash for now and it works great and is very consistent.
Or if you could give me a guide of what tables to change and what the values should be I can do that (to make it like "manual" settings in mhd flash)
Thank you for all your work!!

I've also flashed xHP Stage 3 with JB4 BEF. Afterwards, car seemed to run fine, but then completely stalled when I was doing some 3rd gear runs (see here: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46861). Took my car to a shop who said a bunch of throttle values/settings were incorrect, among some other settings, using INPA. Hard reset all adaptations and haven't had a problem, until today, when the same thing happened to me (car stalled). I'm wondering if this could be due to the xHP TCU flash not playing well with the BEF? I'm gonna flash the TCU back to stock for now.

Should I check the "OEM/catted ***" flash option" if I'm running oem or sports *** with Jb4 BEF? Is this function design to work with JB4 BEF maps?
