I'm in the same boat for my new X3 (which uses the same intake). Leaning towards the K&N, but will probably just go with the Burger unless I can get a deal. The aFe is ridiculously overpriced, their Dyno chart looks iffy, and that's coming from a guy who usually swears by them.

Fully agree the Its over priced and the dyno is
but at least it has a plastic CAD housing , which will prevent the filter from sucking the engine hot air

the K&N and Bms are open and not coverd

I think if your car is otherwise stock with the exception of JB4, the stock intake is not a restriction. I went from BMS to stock with a K&N drop-in. Seems like the best option for stock. But since I miss the sounds with the BMS, I will probably be putting that back on very soon.

Similar thoughts as well. I had the BMS intake with just a Stage 1 and felt like I lost torque down low, so I sold it and stock intake felt back smooth and strong.

I upgraded to the JB4 and repurchased the BMS intake and it definitely feels and sounds better than the stock intake.

I seriously doubt there is any improvement in HP.
Crazy $$.
If you tune the car, then add a BMS filter or stay stock.

I have a 640i F13 and i have the BMS Performance Intake.

It feels and sounds like stock. I also had the K&N with the same experience...

With the K&N it sure doesn't sound stock. Especially in Sport theres a pronounced whistle and blowoff when it shifts.
