Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire just posted up a one take of my e61! Check it out if you have a minute. It's always fun to hear what people have to say about the n54.

LOL, awesome.
I upgraded the front brakes on our e61 by adding calipers off a 740iL with 348x30 Zimmerman rotors and Hawk HPS 5.0 pads front and rear. Cheap upgrade, made a huge difference. Rear is tricky du to the very deep rotor offset and I didn't want to mess with hub replacement (for now..)

Adding an ISC N1 coil over kit next week with air suspension delete.

Awesome Sam! I have been wanting to do this but my car is always under construction. The waiting list is quite long so maybe I should sign up now!

Watched this last night. Congrats!! I've been watching Matt since the Garage 419 days and it's really crazy how big the One Takes have become.
Funny to see you guys get the point by from an S2K. You made me seriously consider picking up a 535xiT instead of my 335xi. A big turbo wagon that can whip up on most cars is something that Mercedes did so well and I wish BMW would've done.
Well played.

Oh **** I just watched that today! Finally an N54 who isn't a complete idiot. There was one on there a while ago who had no idea what he was talking about and greatly (and embarrassingly) inflated his hp numbers.

I'm going to be adding some used e60 m5 front calipers in the near future as they are a direct bolt on and leaving the back alone. Since the front end accounts for about 90% of the stopping power and because I'm on a budget, I feel like this will be my best bet. It's good to know the same type of set up is working well for you.

No you can't do that! You will make my car look terrible in comparison But yea the waiting list was insanely long. I signed up something like 8 months in advance and just tried to forgot about it until the time came.

But in all seriousness you should do it! It's so awesome to see the e61 get so much love and I'm sure Matt / the Internet would love to see your track ready 550whp beast of a wagon!

Btw I saw that someone shouted you out in the comments!

I would give it a shot. You never know. He was back in Connecticut doing a one take on an e34 535i.

Thanks man I would highly recommend the n54 e61 if your into the whole sleeper thing. Doesn't get a lot of attention until your passing someone unless of course your like Evan and make your e61 look bad ass

Yea there have been two n54s on the smoking tire before and they were both very plain. Wish I had some upgraded twins to show him but I'm glad he finally drove something with an e85 back end flash.

Thanks Matts a cool guy and hung around for a while after the shoot to talk about **** with us. It was really cool meeting him. Humble dude that didn't have a huge ego or anything

Very nice video. Are you located in SoCal? Looking for some recommended shops for my E61 mods.

Am I the only one who thinks the host it's a complete tool? He sounds like an idiot, and if he had pulled my car out in front of traffic I would have told him to gtfo. Nice car though.

That was my initial impression as well but after watching the rest of the videos he is a good guy with a lot of knowledge about cars.

awesome e61 samstryker!! I wanted a wagon so badly but couldn't find one at the time and purchased a 535i sedan. My mod list is basically the same as yours minus ***-back exhaust and e85. Again, sweet ride I'm in love!

Thank you! You can find them if you look hard enough but you definitely don't come across them every day. I'd recommend blending in ethanol if you have an e85 station close enough

It's definitely a weird feeling getting in the passenger seat and letting someone you just met drive your car. But I justified it seeing as Matt drives hundred thousand dollar sport cars on a weekly basis. And it's just fun to see what people have to say about your car

If any of you are closer to North Texas, we're bringing Matt out early this year to OneTake some of the runway cars. It may be easier to arrange him driving your cars then.

I'd be interested to bring one of the cars up there and meet some dfw people, depending on when it happens.

Bear in mind though he's already done two 335i's and likely won't do any more. Maybe a thorough 135 and maybe maybe a 535/535 rwd wagon. He doesn't like to do more than one of every car.
