Default Oil leak please HELP! - 11-17-2016, 10:39 PM

Hey guys, I have a 07' 335i n54 **'s dci, jb4 and after doing some logs with map 6 doing some custom e85 tuning everything was great! I hit 0-60 in 3.4 secs and a 1/4 in 11.8 and I was ecstatic! but then later on that day at the car wash my serpentine belt broke and I noticed oil everywhere on the front of the engine so I drained the oil changed the oil filter housing gasket, replaced the belt the tensioner pulley and idler pulley did the oil change and coolant flush to find oil leaking down the front of the motor still. I don't see the valve cover leaking or the head gasket leaking. I thought maybe pieces of the belt was in the engine but the car starts fine drives fine and don't really leak oil until you push it, it's not getting a check engine or nothing! No tapping noises at all so maybe the belt isn't in their. Anyone have some ideas? I open the oil cap and no milky residue when I drained the oil no milky residue. When doing the coolant I didn't see any oil and no smoke out the exhaust so I'm lost! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I also took out the pcv valve shook it and it rattles, cleaned the pcv hose sensor on it and cleaned the pcv valve itself with some throttle body cleaner.. it still shakes on the inside so I figure it's good, I'm still scratching my head on this..

I assume your engine hit the subframe. Did you check the oil pan?

Is there damage around the power steering pulley area? Was there any part of the belt missing by chance? Did you take a picture? Let us know

And yes some of the belt was missing pieces was on the bottom cover but not enough for me to have all the belt pieces, I'd say 30% maybe a little less was missing, power steering isn't leaking, the reservoir needs replacing around the top does have residue but it's not even close to the engine

The oil pan isn't leaking I did spray gel degreaser on the pan and the rest of the car underneath all is still clean other then what's blowing back when driving since it is running down the front of the motor,I think from the side of where the tensioner pulley is in that upper crevices towards the left standing in front of the car. It goes down to the crank pulley and when the car is running the belts get it all over the bottom part of the engine and part of the alternator too

How about the oil cooler housing. Two gaskets there that are prone to leak.

From everything I've learned regrading serpentine belt failures it sounds like the front main seal should be the first thing in question. I know you said it's running down the motor but is it possible that it's getting flung up the motor off of the crank pulley/belt? Otherwise maybe check vanos seals.
