Default Logging AM HFS-4 with JB4 for Dummies - 01-12-2016, 07:11 AM

For those of you that are using the AM meth system and understand how the JB4 logs meth flow with the AM algorithm, what would the calculated actual flow be for a logged value of 104 with the following conditions and constraints…?

1) FUD Bit for AM Algorithm = ON
2) Meth Scaling = 95
3) FAV Max Flow = 1500cc/min

With the AM FUD bit set then the voltage is converted as follows:

0-.5v = 0% meth flow
.5v-4.5v = 0-100% flow

I believe 4.5v is supposed to equal 3000ml/min but there is some variance among AM part numbers so you'll have to spec that out with them for your specific flow sensor.

Thanks Terry. Does the Meth Scale setting influence the signal? I have it set to 95 to keep the fail safe from kicking me down to map 1.

My 6 jet setup should flow ~900ml/min and my FAV is the chokepoint at 1500ml/min max so 4.5v would equal 1500ml/min for me. I know I can't be flowing 104% of 1500ml/min.

The scaling is the minimum 0-100% level for the JB4 to consider full meth flow. So set according to your tuning needs.

Thanks T. Due to the FAV pulsation, I had to set it to 95 to keep the JB4 from dropping me into map 1 (failsafe mode 2) and was wondering if it influenced the logged value.
