Default M3 Cluster retrofitted and JB4 options don't match the speedo/tach, How to fix? - 04-09-2015, 08:06 AM

Ok so maybe my thread title doesn't make sense,

I have an E92 335, I have an M3 cluster that I've coded to my car and new EPROM burned etc etc,
All good,

Now the only thing thats not lining up perfectly is the JB4 steering settings

Then you press the 2 steering wheel buttons down and go into the menu it overshoots the speedo and tach thats actually in the car and goes to the position of the speedo from the stock 335,

So I'm having to count how many presses rather than actually being able to see what setting I'm on,

Is there anyway of letting the JB4 know I am using an M3 cluster so the needles line up correctly?

Doubtful as that isn't even close to any cluster we'd have. I was going to say the 1M setting maybe, but then remembered the M3 has a tach that goes to 9000 and speedo that goes to 330. So i don't think you'll have any luck!

That sucks

Oh well I've been counting the amount of button presses for a while now anyway so I'm getting used to it

Maybe when you get it figured out, post a conversion list. There could be some more folks with the same issue..

sounds like it'd have to be coded into the next firmware to fix that issue....

Any update on this? It is impossible to read codes with my M3 cluster and hard to do any adjustments in menus on the upper MOH scale as the scaling changes above 80.

No way you can read codes on the fly... Simple solution go purchase the bluetooth jb4 kit and do everything from your phone. But I'm sure if enough of us show interest to terry he will do something about it

Just find the closest menu5 match. Not enough people have this to justify custom JB4 programming for it. At least yet.
