Has anyone ever heard of, Or experienced a boost leak through the top of one of your injectors. I pressurized the system with air, And I clearly can feel the air shooting out were the fuel rail and injector bolt together. This is giving me a 30FF code at high boost. Any help is greatly appreciated.

the fuel rail and injector are connected via a high pressure pipe. a leak at the connection between the high pressure pipe and fuel rail would be leaking fuel, not air. could you be describing the associated parts incorrectly or maybe i'm not understanding your description of the leak location.

Can you attach a picture of this or a better explanation. I dont see how boost air could come from the injector. Unless you have the cylinder pressurized and its leaking past the injector seal. But this would lead to more issues than a 30FF. Is this a secondary fuel rail ?

Are you sure it's not coming through the injector seat itself? Possibly a bad seal?

Or the injector port is oval.

When I pressurize the system, you can hear and feel the air coming from what feels like to me from either the top of the threads were the injector connects to the fuel rail, Or the bottom of the threads at the injector top. But if that’s not it, where else around the injector could air be coming from. And it’s not the valve cover, just changed that because it was leaking and also the seal on the problem injector

When you say pressurize , are you using a leakdown tool to fill the cylinder with air or are you pressurizing the intake to look for a boost leak with air ? The best way to look for a leak is with a smoke machine . They will reveal exactly where the air is comming from. If this is a leak down test and you feel that much air around the injector , the seal for that injector is bad or the port for the injector is damaged. Hopefully this is not the case. The hole in the injector is too small for any significant amount of air to come though there from the cylinder. Also smoke test will reveal if there is a leak on the valve cover , seal, or something you would otherwise not expect .

And lets back up a step here once.

How much pressure are you putting into the system?
Where you're describing is right near the seam for the PCV stuff in the valvecover. If you didn't remove/block off the PCV/flapper, it could be you just popped that seam on the cover, or the leak was already there.

spray bottle, soapy water.. bubbles will tell you where the leak is coming from.
