Can someone provide input on installing the EWG Harness on my 2020 Supra JB4? I took a quick glance at it this morning and it appears there is already a wire in #9 where the purple wire is supposed to go. Am I missing something?

Look at it again, you must be reading it wrong.
Here's a pic I found online.

Use the Burger Motorsports diagrams / videos to be sure, they explain it all well.
If you install the pin in the wrong hole, it'll be a mission to remove it without damaging the harness pin so be definate.

Hey guys, I had a question about the JB4 on an A90 Supra. For the usage of Map 4 and 5, you recommend the EWG wires and that's all? No BEF necessary? Also, if I can use it, how close do I need to get the E85 content for both maps 4 and 5?

I got the best power results using the EWG, it's worth to install it to better manage the boost up top.
BEF is an excellent add-on especially if you want to go for higher boosts and upgrade the turbo etc.
Can't comment on e85 as I never used it, sorry.

18-20psi all day and 420-450 whp on pump gas, depending on your mods.

Whats up all! I Have been running the JB4 on my 2020 Supra for several months on MAP3 with 93 Octane. I recently added the EWG added E40 using MAP 5. It was maxing out the fuel trims so I switched to E30 and MAP 4. (Terry gave me some good feedback)
Anybody have any feed back or suggestions to run MAP5 and an E blend?
Thanks

The newer firmware is newer for good reason, but I always tell people, run whatever firmware they prefer.

If map5 is more than the fuel trims can handle, adding in our BEF at some point is an easy way to resolve that and allow 100% E85.

I have an older B58 JB4 on a 2017 440IGC and I added the flex fuel cables. I see in the JB4 app that it automatically changed FF/Wastegate Adaption from 0 to 50. Do I need to also change Fuel Open loop to 50 as well like it says in the manual? When I do that I get hesitation in pulls in gears 3/4/5. Just making sure I am not missing something before I post up logs.
Also - what gauge are the EWG wires? I plugged the purple in 8 instead of 9 and been unsuccesful in getting it out.

The fuel pressure plug isn't usually needed, but you can change open loop to 50 if equipped.

Highest I've seen in mine is 244°F when I used launch control. Else it's in the 210°F range.

Question for the experts.
Can I run map 4 without an EWG wire? I have a G20 330i with just a JB4 and no other mods. I'm used to hitting around 20-21psi in map 2 on firmware v16. I updated it to v17 and I've noticed a slight reduction in boost (17-18psi) as well as acceleration times. Not too significant but every 0.1s counts right? :D I was wondering if I could run map 4 for an absolute 20psi boost. But I don't have the EWG wire.
I run E27-E30 gas in my car.

Hi guys! Finally installed a JB4 yesterday on my father's B46 330i (F30). Previous setup was a JB+ with the new ******* dp from Vrsf. Question, what map is safe to use for max power? Will a E15-E30 mix help with power on the B46? Is there an auto tune map like back in the day when I had an N54? We're running 93 Oct here in SFL. Why I ask is because we're now running Map 3 and it's actually running a slower 1/8 mile time and trap than with the JB+ set in max setting (measured with a Dragy) Going to the track tomorrow and would like some input on map selection. Unfortunately don't have data cable or bt so can't run a log right this moment. Not much info on B46/B48s here so all input is welcomed

Hey Terry & Team. I’ve just ordered a JB4 with ewg wires for my M340i. Previously, I was running JB1 with e30-40 and +7 boost safety on an Infiniti Q50, and had no issues related to the tune.
I see that the BMWs are a bit more advanced as far as setup & config goes. I didn’t purchase the Bluetooth adapter as I have a data cable and don’t plan to make any major changes for some time. Besides updating firmware, do I have to modify any settings for the JB4 w/ ewg before running it, such as wastegate to 50? If so, I can do this using the laptop software, correct?
Also, it sounds like running ethanol is more difficult than with a Q50, as I see a BEF recommended often. Is it safe to run e30-40 without the BEF? I’ve been following your posts on the Facebook group regarding DME lock, and since I have warranty, I’m avoiding flashes.
Thanks!

Hi Ando
I installed JB4 on my F23 with B58 and I am not seeing needle sweep active, shouldn't that come active by default? how can I enable it?
Just found a post for N54 in which this option was moved from 5/7 to 5/8, but not sure if this applies to B58
Thanks!

Hi guys, I have a pretty much fully stock 18 340i, only has resonator deletes. I just installed a jb4 and ran on map 2. It has the ff, ewg, and a meth fsb wired up from them previous owner. The only one I have plugged into the car for now is the ff though. Can you check out this log for me and tell me what you guys think?

For 93 octane map3 should be a good fit. JB4 log?
