Default 30FF no power to the boost solenoids - 05-13-2020, 01:53 PM

Hey guys first time poster will give you a quick recap of the situation.

Bought a E92 335 2007 last year with full bolt on and a JB4 car ran great for the whole summer no problems at all and since i live in Sweden i put the car in winter storage during the winter.

During the storage time i decided to upgrade the charge pipe since that was original and i did not disconnect the battery while doing so and by accident i touched the generator with my ratchet and it came a big spark anyway i completed the install and started the car everything seemed normal no codes or funny noises did not think more of that.

And now its summer and i finnaly can take it out of the garage and i have 0 boost so i started to troubleshoot what i've done so far

Checked car for codes and only a 30FF code pops out after you floor it for a while

Checked chargepipe for leaks

Checked hoses from intercooler

Changed all vacuum lines

Checked all fuses in the glovebox and the 50 AMP in the ECU box

Checked both actuators so they close the wastegates

All seem fine so now today i checked the boost solonoids and i T'd in to them and checked the vacuum while idleing, It came out at 0 on both solonids then i checked the canisters and i had vaccum in them so i then proceded with applying 12v and vaccum to the solonids and they appear to be bleeding it out normaly so that just leaves me thinking they dont get any power from the harness?

Is there a fuse for that harness or something im totaly out of idas would appreciate some help!

Pull the solenoids, add 12v briefly to them. Do they click?

I just went through a similar diagnostic nightmare. No boost no vacuum issue or boost leak. Pulled the *********, one turbo blown.

I did come across some threads were electrical issues were causing solenoids not to work. Like a no boost mode with no codes. It might be worth swapping your battery.

If you Google n54 strange boost solenoids issue, many threads related to electrical issues will appear.

Don't forget to code it.

Please let us know how it goes.

Went to work on the car today again

Pulled all fuses in glovebox again, They are all fine

Pulled all the fuses in the ECU box under the hood, They are all fine,

Tried installning a new battery - No difference (Will code it later when i get the chance)

Fully removed JB4 from Ecu - No difference

Only thing that happend was after i swapped the battery i got a 2EE6 (cooling fluid sensor) and the radiator fan started in full speed, Shut the car down and cleared the code and started it up again and it was all normal again,

Feels like i've tried everything now, might have to call the dealership and have them take a look unless someone here comes up with a magic soulution =/

So tonight i decided to clean the connections for the boost solonoids and test the same vaccum test on them again and to my surprise i got a reading on the gauge around 6-10 inhg on idle and 25ish when driving full throttle but still no boost.. so i assume i got a leak somewhere back to square one.

Going to try and buy some stuff so i can pressure test it tomorrow if i can find them in stock.
