Default Need help with Fuel Tank Ventilation wiring diagram - 03-03-2020, 04:40 PM

Hi all I accidentally pulled the wire out of my DME harness that connects to the Fuel Tank Ventilation/Breather. The blue with a yellow stripe is the one that popped out.

Does anyone know which pinout it goes to or a have a link to a diagram that reveals which pin the Fuel Ventialtions wires goes into?

I searched BMW F10 535i Sedan
It's not very clear in that heap of links where I can find a clear pinout diagram for the Breather.

I am getting a fuel tank ventilation error because of it.

I'm just going to answer myself but maybe it will help someone in the future.

pinout on a BMW F10 N55 DME / MEVD172
A46 Digital Motor Electronics

Overview of Ventilation system including voltage and pulse modulation:
Tank vent valve

A211*3B connector is where you pin into and for me the fuel vent is pins 9 and 31



This is probably a rare request, but this happened when we tried to retrofit an S65 dual HPFP to an N55. It didn't work out and we ended pinning into the DME and then when repinning the stock HPFP and ventilation. Apparently we didn't secure the wiring and were lucky to not have fried the DME. It probably wont happen to anyone else, but you never know.

Older F10ís with the Continental fuel pump suffer from not enough volume up top when pushing the limits. This is true to a lesser extent for N54ís too. The N55 can fit the S65 dual pump but we ran into a **** load of problems when trying to make it work with the dme.
