It's been stressful at times but also alot of fun. I hope to get into more of the niche platforms that are nearly impossible to modify such as this one. As long as sales continue, and I can keep some stock on cores, I'm sure to be around.

I know the AT cant hold it. But how long can it go running at ~19psi before encountering problems? I am really interested in these turbos.

I'm no expert but 19psi every day with stock internals/tranny seems risky to me. I plan on daily driving at 16psi or less.
Is there anyone who can provide a more educated opinion? This seems like a good topic to explore.

Why would you buy RB turbos and run 16psi (or less)?

The wastegates in the stock ones were falling off and I was out of warranty.
Plus it's nice to have the power if you want it. It doesn't take more than 16 psi to light up a tuned 5.0 mustang

I'm running around 17.5 PSI on 93 octane + meth. Don't drive the car much in the winter, but I think 17-18 PSI with 93 + meth is a great street setting. You can regulate it with the gas pedal if you don't want to push it. I'm a 6MT though.

If I had a 6MT I would have RB's right now. I know LM and Dzenno had problems with their AT's but im pretty sure they were pushing their cars ridiculously hard. I am just waiting for Rob or some other RB owners to shed more light on the topic.

As I've said I've heard of 2 people in the history of the car to need AT Trans attention. That is Enrita and Lostmarine. Also Hotrod182 but that was accredited to nitrous through a shift. 50 or so sets out there I'd imagine, lots are autos, and that's the feedback I've been told or had seen. Therefore it seems to me that the AT is fairly stout.
FYI Dzenno has an M6... He's just burnt up a clutch or two.

Stock is very low. I imagine I will be easily out of stock by end of week, possibly before. As of this exact moment, there are a few sets left. After this, wait probably 6-8 or so weeks.

I only ran into problems when I fitted the nitrous above the RB's. Up to that point I did 20,000km of spirited driving at around 450-470whp with not a hiccup. My car is low mileage sitting at 40,000 currently but its been driven properly. If your trans is your concern just lower the boost a bit in the midrange and keep torque levels in check.

Are you planning on or did you already upgrade your trans? I read the thread about your M3 diff already which was great.

I have started another project so do not think I will upgrade the transmission. I was planning to run a ten with the car but the track I go to wants a serious roll cage installed. Will do a few 60-130 glory runs but it seems I have reached the end of the line with this car for now so I will just enjoy it for what it is.

I'm having a shop install them. They are doing that and replacing my clutch as well. Cars sitting in pieces right now.

Probably the smarter option, but for me it's a good excuse to buy a bunch more tools
If only I had a lift...

It only takes some basic mechanics tools and skills, jack stands, a good jack, and most importantly some time. The lift may come in handy but certainly not required to do the swap.

My RB's are awesome! I filled up with 100 oct this morning and went for a 4 hr drive - Radio off - windows down (I'm in Florida) - and ran the hell out of it. 1st and 2nd gear I was sideways, these turbos have so much tq down low you have to think about how hard you hit it coming out of turns. The sound is incredible, you hear all that power spooling up and you just drive with a huge smile on your face. Thanks Rob! These things are amazing!

You are welcome sir. Glad you are happy with them. Lots of power all over the place makes a very fun car. I'd like to use that as a testimonial on the website if you do not mind...

Haha. Yeah it happens. If its a lil over the top down low I'm sure you can manipulate the boost curve to give you just enough to tame down low and ramp it up. Some gear dependent tuning would be cool, but not sure if possible.

That would be nice for the XIs, reduce the torque would help down low

Nah I love it just the way it is! Being able to do a HP powerslide around the corner in low RPM's is why I enjoy driving!. I wasnt able to do that until I had your turbos installed. Just incredible! I've had my car for awhile, and I actually cant wait to get up in the morning to drive to work! Its been awhile since I had that feeling, so thanks!
