Default Jb4 Newbie from the UK - 08-12-2018, 01:18 AM

Hi all newbie to the JB4 from the UK .
had a JB1 on a Golf R mk7 and loved it ,now swapping cars any week (when it arrives) to a M240i .
i have purchased a second hand JB4 complete with Bluetooth module from a member on a Uk forum who is selling his M140i.
i just want to make sure all the settings are as standard before i start playing with it and im not sure how to check this or even if there is a default setting tick box or something.on the JB1 i used i used to connect via a laptop to adjust but on this its Bluetooth so its a bit different.
any advice much appreciated chaps .

You will need to read the STICKY @ the top of this thread. All the information you need and the default settings for the JB4.

Have Fun

Hi Bazbar i did read it all but not seeing a greast deal on the settings for bluetooth on a phone ect.
am i correct in thinking there is no way to bring up the settings page shown on the thread at the top.with my old jb1 connected via a laptop i could see the page with settings as shown but not the same on the bluetooth .

Are you trying to use map 6? Is that what you mean by changing settings? Map 1,2 & 3 settings cant be changed. But if youre trying to make a custom map then thats an entirely different story

And btw you wont be able to change anything unless the jb4 is connected to the car anyways.

Many thanks for the info, you have put my mind at ease about fitting the jb4 as you say you cannot change maps 1,2 and 3 which is good because im gussing i will only ever use these.i am jumping the gun so to speak as car not arrived until early next month just preparing .i will plug in the jb4 when the car arrives just to test it works and then get a thousand miles or so in it before i refit it.

You can install it and run it in Map 0, that's keeping the car in stock form but you will have the full brilliant JB4 Monitoring on your bluetooth device.
