Default M4 JB4 install help.. - 08-09-2019, 03:04 AM

Hi guys - looking for some advice for those of you running JB4 on your s55. I bought this second hand, connected all the sensor connectors and the unit itself appears to be working after a quick test drive but I have a couple of remaining issues.

1) I have a small red and blue wire coming direct out of the jb4 housing, what are these for?

2) my jb4 connect cannot he found by the app, do I need to supply power to the red wire that comes out of this or should it be connected somewhere?

3) has anyone found the obd2 connector is the wrong shape for uk cars? Due to the plastic panel it wonít fully seat to the obd port, is there a solution?

Thanks 🙏

You've got an older OBDII connection, would need the current one to fit it under the cover. We have replacements on our site.

Blue and orange wires are for WMI, someone must have cut them off. Not used on yours.

Review JB4 connect kit install guide/directions for how that needs to be setup.

Hi Terry - thanks for the response. I supplied power to the Bluetooth connect kit and got an error on the app saying device not owned, think Iím getting there but had to drop them an email to unlock it.
