So I have a 2012 BMW 550XI. I currently have *** less ********* and N63intake running the JB4. While at the dragstrip last night on a few different maps the car will throw a drivetrain malfunction about the 1/8 mile mark every run and I feel like at that point it reverts to stock map. I may be wrong but anyone that could take a peak at these logs would be great. All runs done using 100 Oct.

boost leak? solenoids, diverter valves, vaccum lines???? What was the code thrown?

I have been having similar problems on my E70 X5 N63, since installing the jB4. During hard driving, I'll get drivetrain failure, engine failure, limp mode. Turn it off and restart, no more pproblems. Have got several updates from BMS. Still no fix. On mine I can disconnect the green and brown canbus wires and the problems go away.

No boost or vacuum leaks. Only code I read on the jB4 app is 2D59.

Seems like the JB4 for the N63 is not very reliable. I’ve been having issues with mine pratically from the get go! Have been abled to sort out a bunch of them, the issue that I hate most is that it seems I get a DMT everytime I activate a map other than map 6 (custom map). So over 3.5psi, I have DMT and the car goes into limp mode.

Maybe try to make yourself a custom map on map 6, starting at 2.0psi and add on from there after testing it out. Mine at 3.5psi it’s pretty much stable 99% of the time.

The issues I can’t really fix on mine is that it seems that my telemetry for FP-L and FP-H are bunkers! Almost always zeroed out even if I floor it and the car behaves really great. No stumble, no hesitations and not codes. Started about the time whem I upgraded to iOS13 :

Terry ran out of ideas and I gave up. I just run it with the canbus disconnected, which sucks. Tried every suggestion they made. Even tried map 6 with different values. Took it all the way down to .5 psi boost. Still got a fault and limp mode every time I ran hard. Disconnect the canbus, everything runs great.

X5 and 550 are different platforms and use different CANbus systems. On top of that there is a lot of variance in terms of factory firmware being used between even similar cars.

As I've said before the N63 is a problem child from the factory so find settings that work reliably for you and enjoy it.
