Default 335is DCT Tune/ Reflash - 09-20-2018, 05:51 AM

Hey guys my first post on the forums even though I should be studying here i am wondering about this. Where can I get a DCT tune for my car? how is it installed? and will it preserve my clutches on my car? Im aware this has probably been posted before in this forum but i cant seem to find it

I thought that XHP only covers software for the steptronic gearboxes, and not the Dual Clutch 7 speed boxes?
as far as i was aware there is no flash options for the DCT gearbox?

Hi OP
The XHP tool is not for you its only for automatic gearboxes.
If you do a google search for flash DCT BMW you’ll find all of the answers you seek.
Essentially you or someone you know needs the BMW standard toolset on a computer and an OBD>USB cable commonly used for MHD flashing.
This will enable you to flash your DCT with the available software updates and variations that BMW has made over the years.
This wont make your clutches last longer though(not by any measurable amount)
Things that make clutches in a DCT last longer are essentially the same things that make a conventional clutch last longer.
Engine tune makes a big difference and so the best advice i can give you is to find a tuner who knows DCTs well and make sure yours is working the way it should be.

They’re basically the same. The ones to go for are the latest ones in the series. Google DCT flash as i said and you’ll find what youre looking for .....
