With map 0 the JB4 is still controlling the boost but cannot log, and neither can the MHD Flasher log too.

Would definitely be interested in having MHD as a backend flash device. Or potentially uses JB4 for only gauge and water pump control at the track. FYI, I haven't been a fan of the newest BB high load backend pump flash from BMS. The low throttle response has been quite jerky to the point that I have switched back to the previous version to retain the a smooth 2-3 gear pull.

Any idea what would be the date for MHD to come out of beta testing?

It should be perfectly smooth. If not, log it so we can see why it's not. On part throttle with high load logs you may prefer the JB4 pedal mapping to the flash pedal mapping. 4/2 enables the JB4 mapping.

Never got the chance with all the snow we have at midwest a month ago. Just too much hassle at this point, I will just deal with a bit of power lost from the post shift timing drop with the previous version. For my roadcourse use, a smooth throttle is much more important than extra 20 or so whp. I had tried wedge maps last year, had similar issue... I am not too well versed with the fine details in the difference in each of these flashing solutions, but I believe the high load maps with the BB software request too much load at lower-mid rpm under partial throttle, causing overboost which JB4 and DME then tries to correct by dropping wgdc and/or throttle opening, leading to a jerky power delivery during initial throttle application. But again, I am just guessing. FYI, I always uses the 4/2 options.

Think I would just rather wait for the MHD, seems like it is a better solution than the BB software.

In any event you'll need to log the car to see what is going on regardless of what setup you're using to tune it. As far as the JB4 goes with 4/2 part throttle should be perfectly smooth and repeatable, on any flash, as it ignores the flash boost target all together. When you want to fix it capture the issue in a log and from that we can see what the issue is.

So is the MHD flasher better in the single turbo world for a mt car? Or is everything just as good as my bb flash with the jb4? I'm slightly confused. Sorry for the dumb question.

For an MT it can't hurt compared to BB but there is no specific benefit..

So when should we start sharing bins and get some cool **** built, all the Cobb folks have such an advantage to us jb4 stacked folks who never gave a **** about boost control haha. Liking the progress so far! Finding an INPA cable that is reliable is another issue.

You can leave the jb4 in there fully installed and load the new firmware but you will have to log with the jb4 software... Or you can use the jb4 for just gauges & remove two of the connectors + log with the obd port

This. I can't wait for this to be available to the public. The wealth of information we all have is going to help us all to be better tuners. I always hated how secretive most "tuners" are with information. Wedge and Terry are more than willing to share and help people who want to learn more.

This is available now!

Haha go to the thread in this section titled "using the jb4 for just gauges (or something along those lines)" and download the firmware and load that **** up!

Map 2 is sweet if you want to live on the ragged edge, allows you to bypass the jb4 safety control for boost aka run up to 21psi and still enable limited 1st and 2nd gear boost control

So they're kinda hard to get a hold of and also don't have a website. I might just pick up like 10 and resell them here so people have access to them. Let me text the owner of the shop and see how people can purchase them.

Based in UK. Seeing different fuel blends may help?

Hi Guys,

Is there any update on when this will become available? Keen to try out a few new maps?

Cheers Russ
