Can someone take a look at the attached log and let me know how it's looking? This stuff looks like the Matrix to me. All I really understand is I maxed out around 20 psi.
I logged 5 or 6 pulls ranging from 0-100, 60-120, 5-110, etc but I had the app set to combined logs so this is the only one I got that isn't multiple logs in one. I don't remember what my speeds were but if I'm reading the log correctly I at least went from 1st to 4th gear so I'd guess north of 100 mph?
All runs were Map 3 with 93 oct.

Just want to thank George and the team at BMS for a great product, I have been running my JB4 on my B9 SQ5 for a little over a year and just recently added a ********. The car pulls hard with an e30 blend so much that I just want to drive around mashing on the gas pedal. My wife always asks me why I come home with such a big smile on my face when I leave to run simple errands. The pops and cracks with the ******** and stock catback are vicious and pretty darn aggressive.

So now that it’s under 60 degrees here in Wisco I’m definitely spiking boost
Boost safety is set to 27 and last safety says 2. Is it too cold to be running map 5? Switch to map 4 perhaps?

Its not related to the boost safety. Its a lean safety. What happens in colder weather is the ECU will run the AFR very lean at low rpm to get spool up quicker and in turn it triggers the JB4 lean safety. Email me as we can change the sensitivity of this. Would help if you could get it in a log.

Yes, it is compatible. Use the Audi S4 install as the engine layout is identical https://www.n54tech.com/instructions...stallguide.pdf. The only thing that changes is the OBD routing which should go as pictured below.

No need to gap the plugs. On 91 we recommend map 3 and 93 map 4 on the Cayenne. WE havent had a Cayenne on the dyno but the Macan S has the same motor.

I went through a car wash in my S5 today and as I was pulling out onto the street it started to run rough. I got a dummy light -call dealer service or something. As I pulled into a parking lot off the road it died. I had been running 97 octane in Map3 with no problems.
I immediately connected the JB4 app to look for codes. Nothing came up immediately, but I started getting "Max RPM 3500" then "Max RPM 6500" warnings. The following codes popped up on the JB4 app:
767C - No Description found
0B15 No Description found
0B16 No Description found
I popped the hood and looked for wet/loose connections. The OBDII port was secure. I didnt find any other connections that were loose. I did find that the JB4 control unit itself was wet. Apparently the space between the firewall and the engine compartment is not watertight.
I wiped everything down (with a cloth mask) and tried again. I immediately noticed that the water temp was up to 187 or so (quite high). The revs bounced around, and it died several times. The engine had a hard time starting again.
I left the car and came back to research it. Can't find the codes described anywhere. I'm going to go back with my Ross-Tech and some tools. I'll probably remove the JB4 and see if it will run without it.
Any clues/direction from anyone!?

The fault relates to the fuel pressure sensor connection, see if this corresponds with the Ross Tech read and screen shot the faults. Water could have gotten in the circuit board as well so have a look. Drop me a email at george@burgertuning.com and we will get you up to speed again.

Not to worry -
10-16-2020, 07:36 PM
MrSkimo.....not to worry. Same thing happened to me when I went through the car wash about a year ago. After I left the car wash, I went next store to the parking lot to dry the car and left the car running. When I got back in it, it wasn’t running and then it wouldn’t start and the Battery was going dead and I’m like GREAT WTF. I finally got it started and drove it for a mile into another lot because it had no power and it would barely move. I lifted the flap and the JB4 case was soaking wet. So I unplugged all the cable and everything went back to normal.
Sent George a email and he sent me a new board (no charge — he really stands behind his product and is all about customer service !!!). When I put the new board in, I siliconed the rubber gasket since it’s to thin for the box, sealed the holes where the wires come out and then threw it in a zip lock bag. Never had any issues since. Hopefully, this will relive your stress that you seriously damaged something!!!!!

Thanks @dconklin. Yes, George was right on it when I posted this and responded to my email right away. My errors were for the fuel sensor. It there was nothing wrong with the fuel sensor or it’s plug. There was water inside the JB4 control unit case and plug leading to the OBDII. I evacuated the water, cleaned the board and case with electronic cleaner, and then dried with canned air. Worked great after that.
I will have to do something to waterproof it. Not sure if I should replace board or not. We will see what George has to say.
I agree - fantastic customer service!

Can map 4/5 be ran with an upgraded intercooler/heat exchanger on just 93 octane in an RS5?
