got any time to teach me how to read logs? A high level 101 is all I need
Terry know the most, I've just picked up queues from him about this specific platform and I added it to my tuning experience over the last decade or so on other platforms. If you look at the picture I made the comment about to Terry, you'll see that in the 1st 3 gears the timing continues jumping up through out the gear. But in 4th gear, it looks like it keeps getting pulled back down when it would otherwise increase. To me that seems like it's either picking up knock or something else is happening. Since BMS hasn't found the knock counts PID yet, the timing graph is the only thing we have to go off of. Whenever timing drops to 5 degrees or less, or is jagged back and forth, that says to me you're running too much boost or not enough octane and should back it down.
Terry, my jb4 won't connect via Bluetooth anymore. I've tried troubleshooting it several different ways. Pretty sure I need to send it back. Can you help?
Can someone look at this short Map 2 log? I was going to go for a 1st-3rd gear pull/log and the car struggled in first so I decided to just back off of it. Felt like car was not building boost at all until closer to 5000rpm
I was using the paddle shifter and it accidentally over revved a couple times
Makes sense. I'd just let it shift itself most of the time.

It's not but I'm not sure why, DSC kicking in maybe?

Check the first post of this forum for details - I use the JB4 iPhone app / BT Kit to make changes to my JB4. In the JB4 app it is in Settings - User Adjustment Settings. Scroll half way down and you will see a section that reads Future Use: You want to select Future Use D - this will bring up another screen titled FUD Options. If the value is 0 - then you have to turn on Bit0. This will make the value = 1 (Fuel Wires are enabled.) Be sure to his SAVE to exit out.
Take another run and look at the log at the top - your want to look at the CSV log file and at the top - mid way left to right - there is a column that has MethSafeMode under that there should be a value of 0. Under that is FUD - under it you want a value of 1 (Fuel Wires Enabled.)

Run this map since you don't appear to have a catback, therefore you have airflow restrictions after the *********. If you ever get a catback, you could dial each number up by .5
Also look into the WMI kit if you're not planning a catback and still want to obtain more power, and the Flex-It fuel kit

While there is still a lot of exploring to do when it comes to tuning, there are several things we can see just by looking at the turbo map and dyno sheets. Your biggest gains will all be in the mid-range (2500-5000 RPM) with the stock turbos.
Based on the turbo map, tuning to 18 PSI from 4000-5000 RPM puts you in a very ideal efficiency range for the turbos. Now dropping the boost after 5000 RPM is important as holding too much boost is not ideal for the motor or turbos, but also won’t gain much additional power. This fine tuning of boost pressure adjustment is made easier by the factory electronically controlled wastegate actuators.
That being said, I believe the JB4's that have dipped into 11's are running more than +5, some as high as +7 in mid range but tapering off aggressively
From my very very limited experience with JB4 lol, other than pushing turbo's beyond recommended limit, this looks clean. what fuel are you on?
We basically have the same mods and im on 93 and I noticed my car's logs are much cleaner consistentlyif i go +3.5 max throughout 1500-7000. I've ran Map 2/Map 6 with +4,,+4.5,+5 tapered and while there were clean runs, the clean runs weren't as consistent.
Megan LDP's being installed today, a member suggested its better to let the turbo's breathe better than up the boost past it's efficiency zone which makes sense to me
