Terry @ BMS
I just installed JB4, and car stumbles between 4000-4500, what could be some possible causes? No misfires or CEL are popping up.
How can I get you to do a custom tune?
So I have a JB4 and I have the MHD tune and want to use the BEF and have the same experience as I do when I run the MHD stage 2+. I have tried running the race PWG BEF with the jb4 and while it feels ok when compared to the MHD stage 2+ versus the JB4/BEF on map6 with the FUD#6 set to on its almost like a whole different car and not in a good way its tamer compared to the stage 2+ by itself but I want to use my JB4 for its tuning and monitoring capabilities but from what I keep reading I should be able to run the JB4/BEF with similar if not better results. What am I doing wrong? Do i need to change the boost settings in the map 6? I dont know what the stage 2+ run for boost cause it feels insane. I am FBO VRSF **, CTS CP, wagner EVO2, AFE intake.

Well one easy way to do it is run JB4 on map 0 and turn logging on - then run MHD stage2+ and do a couple of 3rd gear pulls or even WOT 1,2,3,4 gear pulls and read what MHD stage2+ is doing on the log and then set your map6 boost targets per RPM to be the same as a base line.
All these N55's are all capable of the same things regardless of what tune you run its just how you dial it in is up to you. There is no special trick BM3 or MHD has over JB4, just different applications to get the desired results.. No one can really tell you exactly how to do it you just have to do some pulls, read yoru logs and adjust your settings.
If you want to eek every last bit of power out of your car its going take time to learn how to do it, there is no switch to flip on JB4 to make it happen. THere is alot of information in these forums. i knew 0 about bmw turbos, PID tunning etc, but many months of reading and trial and error and reading logs really helped me learn and now ill give my pig f33 convertible the pepsi challenge against anyone running MHD or BM3.
I just did n20 tmap and the sensor is reading much higher than the other sensor. For example on read 19psi the other read 26psi. I have tried flashing the n20 tmap option on both the flash n jb4 but it either doesnt work or it reads stupid high. Right now i have it off on the flash and option 1 on jb4. Btw this is on the full e85 ots map
Hey Terry, i would love to get your help on setting up my jb4/mhd bef i love the way the car drives with the stage 2+ 93 mhd flash but cant get the car to drive similar with the jb4/mhd bef and would love to be able to use my jb4 for its features. I have fbo pwg please help out i must be doing something wrong.

I have JB4 with MHD BEF. I am running the EWG Race map and need help to update a specific parameter to negate a cold start Mixture too Rich code. I found something on BMW and Mini's TIS Site that indicates a possible sensitvity that is a factory known issue. I have attached the TIS document. BMW recommends an update to the DME parameter to help.
Basically we are looking to change the Target numbers to be F020-18-07-531 or higher.
Can you help with this and is this a viable solution to the daily code I am getting for Mixture too rich. The car runs fine but this code is just really annoying and I am uncertain if it has a negative result to the cars performance downstream.

Does anyone know if I need to remove the boost solenoid wires in order to try just a MHD flash? Or is it just having the jb4 on map 0/4 + MHD bef?
Also, I guess the maps/flashes are working as intended, not needing any fixes or additions, since it's been over a year without any new releases?
About 1,5 years ago when MHD N55 F.series was relased then Terry told:
You need to put back the OEM connectors to the boost solenoid. So without JB4 boost connectors connected just put OEM connectors back to the solenoid.
You also need to put JB4 into the map 0 mode.

Wanted to share my dyno results. Recent run compared to a run done last year. Unfortunately, I forgot which exact map the run done last year was. It's either Map 1 or Map 5 (pre-BEF). Car is same in both runs (FBO, meow-less **, 98 RON/93 Oct) except recent run with BMS BEF race map with WMI (CM5 x 2, 80% meth, Map 3).
Gained 25 hp, 61Nm torque. Quite happy with the results.
2014 BMW M235i auto. JB4 & EWG connector + BEF (BMS EWG Race 10 map), 98 RON pump fuel (93 oct), BMS WMI kit (dual BM5 nozzles, 80% meth mix, boost additive 50, Scaling 60, min flow boost 6.5), GruppeM intake, ER CP, Forge BOV, Wagner Evo II competition intercooler, ER ******* **, eisenmann exhaust, quaife LSD.
does anyone know the default settings we should be using for BEF? duty bias,
wastegate pos, pid gain, ff, and fol? or do i crossover the same settings from jb4 by itself?

Hi, Terry. I would like to ask for you help. I tuned the FUTURE USE D into ''64'' by a mistake then the car got crazy(Error Cord 102001、118002,121201,105202,104302,121530). I tried to tune back the FUD to ''0'' but the messes ware going on. How can I fix the troubles?

From my readings , JB4 alone, the dme is not reporting REAL actual true tq, so the dme is telling the trans the car is making stock tq..
Isnt this a benefit in that the tcu wont limit power since it thinks it running stock tq?
I know the BEF reports actual tq and even raises it so the trans pressure is higher, but doesn't this run the dme into the tcu limiters quicker and kill power?
Not sure what your question is but there are no torque limiters triggered JB4 only on the stock flash. That comes in to play once running more aggressive flash tuning.

Yea, that was the answer to my question. I never had issues with JB4 alone hitting or feeling any tq limits.
How about the JB4 and BEF?
Does it hit the TCU TQ limits and cap power and need to get the xHP tcu flash to remove the limits for full power?
