Hello people, I have a 12/2007 335i N54 - the car was fine and then one day it just refused to start, it turned over fine but it just wouldn't start. I get loads of failures on my Dash (like the DME isn't there) most notably a single yellow exclamation mark upon putting in the key and switching on the ignition.

i got the error code 2acc (DME relay signal intermittent on/off) however my DME layout is nothing like what BMW state when i call (I have no blue relay in the DME box)

I tried a different fusebox as i have heard on some 335i's the relay for the DME is built into the top right of the fusebox however this did not fix the problem.

After a load of digging through forums and trying to spare some cash I had gone and got a (second hand MSD80) DME but went to the gentleman and had it properly calibrated with my CAS and Key However the issue is still exactly the same.

Any ideas on how I should proceed ? please font tell me to scrap the car, its the nicest car i've owned!

First time comes on here for help.. Have you checked your main ground in your engine bay?

Not sure where that is and don't have a ramp i'm afraid - all other things work fine in the car if it helps? What if i was to connect an exposed Metal part of the engine to the negative jumper point in the bay - would this simulate the ground?

Was a duff DME, third DME later and this was resolved
