Default N55 Pure Stage 2 - Map 7 - 08-12-2016, 07:26 PM

E85 backend, E50, stage 2 lpfp, fbo. Car feels great, but just want to make sure everything looks good to others. CSV attached.

Will be switching to map 6 and upping the boost if everything is good.

Looks pretty good to me. Keep an eye on the HPFP as those pressures are getting down there and will probably become an issue pretty soon.

This looks normal to me. The boost is a little off target but I only have one log to analyze. You should be good to switch to map 6 and slowly turn up the boost. Be sure to watch the HPFP as you start increase boost. More air equals more fuel which could start to be too much for your fuel pumps.

*Edit* That's weird I typed this up last night but never hit reply.

I may just wait for PI before increasing boost anymore.

So I've come across an issue now that I've been pushing the car harder. I am getting misfires from 3rd to 4th when shifting near redline. 2nd to 3rd is good. Attached are a few logs.

Boost is all over the place. I would look into some duty bias tuning.

Have you verified menu 4 is set to option 2 and that the diode is cut on your JB4 board?

Yes I am definitely ISO, always have been. Option 4/2 has been set since BEF was installed. I'm going to upload the pump gas flash and see if there is any difference. Prior to turbo install, the car did not like the E85 flash when I was FBO. Maybe I will have some luck with the pump flash.

Same here, on steves E85 flash my hpfp starts dipping below 10(crashing) in 3rd and 4th after 5k on E50 but with the pump flash no issues. All this on map 7. Weird.

DCT 135i. Was messing with settings and e85 mixtures trying to figure out the misfire while shifting and have had no luck. Decided to go back to straight 93 octane and use the pump gas flash.

Map 4 logs include a 4th gear and 3rd gear pull. No misfire when shifting. Boost is always below target, but I believe that is just from my IC (7 inch VRSF)?

Map 1 logs 1 and 2 I can feel a slight misfire when shifting. If I shift early (log 3) around 5k, I do not feel a misfire.

Even when I was running map 7 with e50 (first post), it seemed to be running fine. Issue only occurs when shifting while wot. Any ideas?

In a couple logs I looked at, trims are in open loop and AFR's go pretty rich, then once trims are active, they are very negative or bottom out. Try lowering your FOL top 30.

So the car went in for a new diff (mfactory helical), I've been breaking that in, busy, etc.

Had the chance to get the car on the dyno today. Started with terrible results in map 1. 365 whp and logs were garbage. The car was still plagued with misfires while shifting as well.

I decided to switch to the pump BEF vs the e85 flash. Slightly better at 385 whp and logs started looking better. Removed the BEF completely, adjusted FOL from the recommended 30 back to 50-60, slightly adjusted PID gain and the car made 405 whp and the logs looked better. Also, the misfires are completely gone! Final log attached is a run I did on the highway towards home.

I'm concerned about not running a BEF as I'm DCT. I may be able to fix the rest of the issues in logs with fuel and adjusting tuning parameters, but it seems that the misfire is directly linked to the flashes. Any thoughts on the log home and misfire while using BEFs?

Map 2 with BEF and without BEF are nearly identical, trims were maxed out in both.

Map 2 home looked better though.

Definitely excited for MHD release.

The car feels significantly better now. Possibly due to FF relearning? It was over 100 prior (never seen it that high before), and is currently in the 80s. I'm thinking I may have had a bad tank of e85. Ordered the Fuel It ethanol analyzer kit as I should have done sooner, and will be re-testing my local e85 pumps. Will have to do further logging.

Regardless, the car seems to be much happier without a BEF for now. Whether straight 93 or e85 blend, I have always had misfires with a BEF in all maps except 4.

I was at a road course Monday. The car performed great on map 1, logs were clean, no issues until the end of my 3rd 20 minute session. At that point I started to get some clutch slippage and slow response from the trans. I ended my day to prevent any damage. I will definitely need a tuning solution for my transmission before next season. As of now my season is most likely over due to a busy schedule anyways.

Can you post a log with 93oct only on map 2? Start at say, 2k rpm.
