I should of worded my question differently...
Moving forward, can a feature be enabled to turn on and off the radio as you go in and out of the CAN tool?
Thanks,

Great to hear that F1 also functions to Connect, that was one of my wishlist items.
I'm also in the camp of not having logging start until activated.

I wouldn't mind having the DTC/DSC default to off upon start-up. Turning that stuff off is always an extra step.

How can I get on the beta list?
My JB3 is out right now cause I went to the dealership today and I want to reinstall it if it's going to be a while but if it's only gonna be two weeks or something i'll just leave it out.

Was testing out transport mode tonight in between CAN hunting. Car stops like a rock @ 4500rpm. Almost comical and sure to scare your friends. Will throw up a log of it in action tomorrow.

I asked Terry about this a couple months ago for a option with the CAN tool but never got an answer back. Im guessing its not possible.

It's possible but not sure we want to get involved with it.

Leave DSC/DTC as is. I'd rather forget to turn it off before some fun, rather than forget to turn it on in wet or icy conditions

I say.... If "YOU" load a map in "YOUR" car that has the DTC disabled and "YOU" wreck "YOUR" car because "YOU" wern't paying attention to the warning symbol in the middle of "YOUR" dash than "YOU" can take responsiblity for being a dumbass to not turn back on "YOUR" DTC during a snow/rain storm. Just my .02 cents......

You guys are way off base and bordering on silly. This would obviously be an optional setting that users would turn on (auto DSC/DTC disable), just as Map 10 is an optional setting that doesn't just pop up as the default on the JB3. Terry's packing a lot of optional settings like that into the JB4. If you are that worried about forgetting about DSC/DTC, then don't enable this setting. Duh. Many other people like me really want this option, and I don't think it's cool to summarily encourage Terry to pass on this without thinking through how it could work. We all get that it's not for everyone.
Further, speaking as a lawyer, it's laughable to think this option would give Terry any further legal exposure than he already has. Sue happy? That's the concern? Really? We in the legal community really do have you guys hostage now. We're talking about an aftermarket part that boosts horsepower by up to 50% (isn't that the real overriding concern?); included with the part are myriad legal disclaimers that eliminate any waivable contractual warranties or duties; and this particular setting is something the user would enable, just as the user would push the button on his car to disable DTC and DSC. Yeah, meritless suits can be based on anything, but we're going to arbitrarily draw the line here after crossing so many other lines? If Terry were really worried about shakedown lawsuits, he'd be in a different business I would imagine.
Sorry to respond with such force, but come on now. Now this is so overly debated that it's probably dead for no other good reason, an unfortunate result.

Alot of what you guys are asking for are features that can be added and worked on down the road on firmware updates...
I think what Terry and the alpha testers are doing now is make sure the tuning is working properly and futher test it upon beta release.
From there im sure the 'cool' features will start to begin testing and getting added.
These guys are trying to get the Jb4 to walk, you guys are trying to make it do a backflip. Within time, im sure it will be able to.
