Default Check Out My Log - 05-23-2019, 09:11 PM

So with new tips from @haynpunch. i did a proper pull ( 2 logs) at 77 deg tonight. please review them. i made all the recommended adjustments and ran these pulls using the can flap open setting on jb4. hope this helps. Critique would be greatly appreciated.

Boost looks ok.

few issues- timing looks to crap out a bit up top & corrections too

I think your LPFP sensor is shot too- value is pegged at 84

What r u using for fuel?

93 Oct ethanol free pump. havent tested the octane levels yet as i dont have a place to get a kit near me.

Got these errors tonight to support your claim "Dme active codes-29f3" "dme shadow inactive Codes 2fa3". do i do it my self or have the indy do it?i did fbo with the exception of my d.p
also i noticed my target boost wasn't achieved in a lot of my data. boost leak?
what are the changes i should make? should i make corrections with lpfp going out of whack? or do i fix that then we proceed?

Will want to address octane- do u have access to e85?

I’d also replace the LPFP sensor

I do have access to a widely used e85 pump locally. Good octane results from everybody who mentions that source. just ordered fcp euro lpfp sensor (BMW Fuel Pressure Sensor - Bosch 13537622231)

How do you recommend I rectify the timing situation? is that the direction you are implying with the e85?

Correct

Could close your plug gos a bit, Im assuming u mean .022, not .22? If so, you could gap down to . 020 and see if that helps

New pulls from tonight only difference is i ran 2 gallons of e85 tonight with 93 ethanol free gasoline on top. results seem worse. also i had a studder mid pul. idk if it is identifiable through the data. wondering what it may be. lpfp sensor comes in sunday. ill post more data on monday. no lights tonight during the pull but i felt the studder. prominent, maybe 1 second long. gauges stayed put car just didnt make power for a breif moment.

ran 2 gallons of e85 in the 335i an 14 gallons 93 ethanol free gasoline. the car feels amazing at operating temps. feels rough at startup idle. ran a data log last night and I had my jb4 on the wrong setting so my pulls were crap. didn't have time for new logs.i researched before mixing thought it was a good ide after mixing and after further research I found a few articles speaking heavily against mixing this way and recommend octane booster additives instead of e85. What is my safest way to boost ocatane slightly ( im only looking for a 3-4 octane level boost) while using pump gas?

We've been using e85 on this platform for years, without issue- just continued routine maintenance & assuming the issues that come w. added power.

It's your car you can do whatever you wish, but if you search the forum- you'll see that e85 blends to full, is pretty much standard here.
