Default What's your future DIY Super Car? - 05-09-2019, 09:22 AM

First, I still love my modded E93, N54. I project I'll keep it for 5-6 more years, even with all the (many) pricey repairs these require around the 11 year mark.

That said, I'm always wondering what's going to be next.
I'm not going to track my cars, but I love the g-force and with the E-93, the top down aspect.

- I drove Tesla. Quick and nice, but not a modding car from my perspective.
- I've always loved the big block oldies. I don't care about 'matching numbers'. I may land on a 196x Camaro and buying a crated engine that'll provide at least 600+ whp.
- An S2000 done right out can look nice, and power to weight it's fun

What's in our future?
Sticking with Boost?
Turbo or Super Charger?
Or, are we getting tired of tuning and want to go NA?

Always on the look out

I love the look of a well done 240z, 260z, or 280z. One of those with any sort of swap; 2j, rb, ls or even n54 would be one of my dream diy cars.

Here's my 1990 Nissan 300zx twin turbo from the other day when I took her out for a spin. It's a car I've wanted since I was a kid, I got a strong HELL NO from my mom when I was 15 or so and found one of eBay.

It has been a lot of work but I'm in a good place with it now. Still some things left to do but she runs and drives great. Mainly cosmetics like the interior panels and weatherstripping. Mechanically I think I just need a new transmission mount, trans fluid and a clutch fluid bleed.

My 335i is the one up on jack stands all torn apart these days. Little bastard.

I will likely replace mine with a '16+ Camaro 2SS. Will have to be a dual mode exhaust, mag ride car.
