Default B48 dyno thread? - 04-18-2016, 03:35 PM

Hi all, I've migrated from the dear to my heart E82 N54 platform to the F56 B48 to try something new. I've found it challenging to find dyno charts for those running the JB4 on a B48 so I thought maybe to start a dyno thread?

Those that have had their B48 on a dyno, please share the chart (or numbers at least) below.

this is the only dyno that was done on my car..AWE had it when they were developing the exhaust and the intake. at the time i was running the Stage1 Beta and i *think* i was set to +6 or +7psi. at the time, i had the Stage1, AWE Tuning Exhaust, and the AWE Intake.

since then, i've added a **, FMIC, and the intake is off while some adjustments are made. hoping to dyno it again in early june and see what the end result is.

Thanks Polo. Eventually I'd like to be able to get a reliable 300whp without doing crazy stuff like methanol injection; I went down that road with the N54 already and it's kind of messy.

How does the car feel at this power level? Are you happy with it or eventually wanting to try and get more out of it?

definitely feels strong and as a daily driver, it kicks a$$ on the road. personally, i want more power. the group of guys i do the tracks with are all M3's, vettes, STI's, and a GTR...needless to say i'm the slowpoke so i'm always playing catchup.

Tough competition. You might be better off upgrading to some huge brakes and wide tires so you can catch those guys under brakes/corner speed.

i'm running Carbotech XP8's for now and moved up to 215 summer/track tires. i know i'll never keep up with them in the straightaways but on the curves i'm doing okay.
