Thumbs down New car 3.5 bar sensor issues - 05-01-2019, 05:20 PM

I recently bought a 07 335i it has fbo, when I bought it it ran without any codes. The seller gave me a phone with MHD on it... I know. Kept throwing 2abd (boost pressure overrun) code and limp mode that I could clear, I flashed the stock map but didn't check the 3.5 bar box drove it a short distance in limp mode. Started throwing 2abc (TMAP) Learned I should have checked the 3.5 bar sensor, so I checked it and now I'm stuck with 2abc and 3100 the codes won't clear. I've gone over the wiring to the DME and I'm certain it's correct for the 3.5 sensor. I got a new sensor.... Same thing I think I need someone to rescaled the value. How do I go about getting that taken care of? I'm in Cincinnati and one of the tuners in the area said they could take care of it with a custom tune, but I'm not ready to drop that cash and I have some work to do to it before hand. The previous owner is not being any help. I see some people around that do coding, could they do this rescaling? Could MHD fix the issue? Could JB4 if I had it. I'm considering getting it eventually.

The car needs to be tuned for the sensor. I've used jb4 with it not MHD, but that box needs to be checked when you flash. I don't know anything about rescaling.

Uncheck the box in MHD

N20 should ONLY be selected in jb4 user options

Do you have the adapter harness?

I don't have JB4... Yet. I don't have an adapter harness, the pins on the connector are swapped and I've confirmed they are correct.

You’d need a JB4 for support on our end.

Not ultra familiar with what else is needed for flash only- outside of reflashing map with that box checked

If you flash as a backend it doesn't give you the option to check or uncheck the box.

Sure, What would be the course of action if I had JB4 ? Do you think it would get me squared away? I'm really tired of not driving the car.

Yes, if you had a JB4 and the box checked, you wouldn't have this problem.

Do you have the harness/adapter, or just the 3.5 bar?

I have the 3.5 bar, and I swapped the pins around to correlate with the 3.5 sensor. There's a YouTube video explaining the process if your interested

This is how it is repinned and the voltage is listed below. These were taken with the ignition on, not running. Does anyone know if these look appropriate?

I figured this out. The TMAP connector had been switched out and the pins on the connector were labeled wrong. I had to swap them around again

Hahha- the n54 is a very frustrating animal.

When it rains it pours is a common phrase I see used.

Once you get the isssues sorted, it should put a smile on your face - but you may cry a few times getting there
