In one of the threads we've already discussed the changes. Basically, the new V2 board allows the JB4 to control the wastegate in each side of the engine independently. Previously, the JB4 could only apply the same WGDC offset to both sides of the engine. If your engine banks were perfectly balanced from the factory no problem. But when you push boost up higher, frequently we find they are not perfectly balanced. So you wind up leaving some performance on the the table as the JB4 tunes boost to the highest of either reading.

This also opens up some additional functions like the ability for direct (ISO) boost contorl down the road, the ability to control much larger twin turbo kits like we saw recently with Ram's 1000whp dyno, etc.

The BCM wiring is also integrated in to the main harness now which cleans up the install.

If you bought your JB4 directly from BMS or an authorized reseller (and have the receipt under your name) we'll let you upgrade for $200 + shipping. Which includes a new JB4 V2 board and an integrated BCM wiring harness that plugs in to your existing harness. We ask after the swap you mail back your old V1 board so we can recycle it.

If you bought the JB4 second hand there is no upgrade path.

Can this JB4 with integrated BCM be used on a N63?

No, we've not made a V2 board/firmware for the N63.

1) remove charge cooler and unplug the old bcm harness from the boost solenoid unit replacing with new harness included with v2. I did one at a time so i didnt mix up the cables.

2) refit chargecooler and refill

3) take of the jb4s billet case, remove plug and connect the new wiring into the jb4s plug as such:
Black wire goes to pin#10
Red wire goes to pin #22

Blue wire goes to pin #11
Brown wire goes to pin #23

Green wire goes to pin #19
Purple wire goes to pin#20

4)remove the old blue wire in the plug coming from the external bcm (goes into pin 1) i depinned from the plug

5) reattach plug to jb4 and put back into billet case

5) your bcm should now only be attached to the car by the ground wire, remove this from the car and replace with the new ground (black).

6) fire up the car and input your settings again

I hope this helps
so for you all that upgraded from JB4 v1 to v2...whats the verdict do you recommend we upgrade or hold off ?

When upgrading from the V1 to the V2 on the s63tu, does it matter what connector goes on the boost solenoids?

Yes, with V2 they become side specific. There is an option to invert them if swapped on the JB4 side. But if the ECU side connectors are swapped that can only be corrected by swapping them back.
