Default Check Engine Light Question - 02-09-2019, 02:46 PM

Was driving my M4 today. Currently mods are: JB4, ******* **'s, and BMS intake.

Car seems to be running fine, come to a stoplight then I notice the check engine light on. Since I have the JB4 app on my phone, I open the app and check the codes. I get codes "180001 ******* ********* detected and 180101 ******* ********* detected bank2".

I cleared the codes and the light went out. Is this the reason that the check engine light came on? I've never seen it on before. Wondering why it would suddenly come on.

Thanks Terry. Just wondering why it came on all of a sudden today. Have been driving since November with no light. Also thought the JB4 automatically cleared that light for off road use.

Do my logs logs look OK?

Log is too short to see much. Outside USA passive delete on WMI page can be used, inside the USA it's blocked. You could code them out using a custom back end flash map for competition race use only.

Thanks!

Is there a reason the light would only come on suddenly, when it hasnít been there in months?

I recall when I first got the car that the code would register, on the JB4 but I didnít see the CEL.

Just want to ensure there isnít some other problem.
