I´m running on map 2 with 93+ octane and without ******** (******** is waiting at home for getting installed) and electronic wastegate.
Am i going right that US 93 octane = EU 98 octane?
Normally i fill up with EU 100 or 102 octane

With RON 100 or 102 you can normally go up a bit on the map number. So map 2 should be OK in your particular situation. But always a good idea to log it and monitor timing advance in the log.

Is there much risk in running map 2 on 93 octane w/o dp?
I'm willing to use octane booster, but I don't want to go to the trouble/risk if the gain is minimal due to no dp.

Is your EU100 Octane 98RON + Ethanol?
We have 100RON fuel here, which is 98RON + Ethanol.
I've been tempted to try it out but not sure if it will improve performance or degrade it.
I always use 98RON (V-Power) fuel.
Your comments would be most appreciated please. Thanks

Hi.
Normally i fill up with "Aral Ultimate 102" and sometimes with "Shell V-Power 100"
But i don´t know the special mixture.
I know from many GTI drivers that there modified cars run better with the Ultimate 102.

Thanks.
Shell experimented with 100RON here some years ago.
98RON + Ethanol.
Made my E90 run ordinary. Went back to 98RON
Sticking with 98RON V-Power for my F30

Nothing yet on that front either. It's slow going getting the new dash commands hacked...

I installed JB4 S2 my 2012 F30 320i.
Performance increase is great.
Last night, I measured time 100-200 km/h, 12.7 sec.
But, During driving with JB4 (map5, 320i only use map5).
Fuel consumption. Even Im trying to drive very efficiently, Fuel consumption is bad.
I think almost 50% bad than stock.(map0)
I can accept fuel consumption during max boost driving..
Sometimes normal driving (under 2500 rpm), I hope more efficient
Anyway, Thanks Terry!

Hey Kelvin.
Map 2 schould be the correct map for you.
Map 0 is JB4 off, like no JB4 is installed.
Did you installed everythin correct?
Turn engine on and instantly turning off normaly sound like immobilizer...
But first check your wires and that you uploaded the correct HEX File

Hello all,
i own a F30 320i N20 manual car.
i believe i have a car with the solenoid wastegate
i just bought the stage 2 with wires and flex fuel wire bundle.
installed it yesterday and troubleshooting with Jon at the moment
i have had the car out on map 0 and map 5. i cant really say i fell much performance enhancement.
I have uploaded the N20_FSERIES_6.hex file but still seems as if I have negligible gains?
certainly not 260hp worth.
but will post back here with feedback once i am sure everything is installed correctly.
here are a few pictures of my install.
hope these help some people with their installs
this shows my wastegate to be a solenoid - gurus can you confirm this?
here are the brown and rainbow connectors in place
here are my can wires attached to what i hope are the correct cables, i have dash control so i suspect this is correct.
the red power point
the black earthing cable
and finally the unattached purple bundle
i also have the flex fuel wires connected.
my car is to hot for me to take a picture right now. but i will edit this post later on to show my install.
cheers!

i installed jb4 320i but mine is auto mission.
My case, can feel amazing performance increase.
anyway i think you have to show Flexfuel wires connection.
Check put the right pin(21),and screw up other 2+1 wires.

Here is my flex fuel line setup. The black tape is temporary. Once all is 100% I will solder them together.
excuse the picture quality... i will retake the picture in the AM when there is more light. i will also try and get a shot of where the Flex lines attach.

question: as far as i understand the tune will only kick in once the car is at 160F, if i have map 5 selected with a cold car (ie in the morning), am i correct in saying the car will have "stock" performance up until it hits 160F at which point the tune will kick in?
