Hello. I live in Australia and have followed this post in to flash to Alpina 7615835. I have since tried another flash (7615835) and was flashing to 7603537 when I had a fail at 1%.
I have been reading everything on the Internet and changing settings etc with no luck. Trebila mentioned to try the virtual box image for programming and still coming up with the same error.
I was wondering if someone could help me with this, I have been at it for 4 days now and just want to drive my car! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't do remote access right now as my home Internet is not working. Having said that I could tether off my phone! I really am desperate for a fix here.
I hope someone can help. Pic of the error window attached.

I followed part 1 and part 2 of tose videos the first time I flashed. I have flashed again after that and failed this time. My egs is stuck in programming mode 12. I can't seem to access it with anything because it can't read the ecu identifier to make sure of a match.

This is probably a stupid question, but I just want to be sure. Does the Spdaten file need to simply be newer than 49.3 or does it need to be a specific Spdaten to work?
I believe I am already updated to 60.1 and just want to make sure it will work ok.
Thank you,
Kaz

Finally figured it all out. Was a bit of a PITA but wow was it worth the effort. I'm really liking it. Thanks to all that contributed to this great mod.

Updating the daten files shouldn't be a PITA at all. Just open "BMW coding tool", select "Update SP-daten", select the daten folder to update to and it does it all for you. That's the best way to do it, super easy.

In the coding tool there is also an option to update Winfpk should I have updated that as well?

I believe so. Atleast I always update WinKFP, but it would be good to know for sure if anyone else knows the answer to this.

I had to do more than just update the date files. I also had to copy three separate folders as well. I saw it on some YouTube video.. I was getting error 211 I believe something about security. But in the end I got it to flash. And it's the best bang for buck mod I've done so far.

Supposedly xHP is significantly better than Alpina. It makes me curious, but I wonder how much of that is marketing hype.

I had this flash and it worked fine but every once in a while I would get half engine light and when I checked codes it would show EGS not coded. Should you do coding after the flash in NCS expert or does WINKFP do that for you? I have since flashed back to stock.

No I programmed it back to oem with oem Bmw software and it’s been fine since. So your telling me program Alpina then code it to oem coding?
