When changing from the pump backend flash and e85 backend do i need to flash back to stock then load the e85 backend? Or can i just overwrite the pump flash and load the e85 one?

I switch back and forth between pump flash and race flash. Only the first flash takes the longest 36 mins but every time I switch between backend flashes it only takes 2 mins and basically overwrites the other flash. My experience (fbo 335i pump w/meth)

Hello,

I have recently bought the app (monitor + flasher). I have also uninstalled Cobb from my car.

I am about to flash one of the built-in maps. Is there anything that I should be worried about?

Is it straightforward?

Are the built-in maps for US spec cars only? Or including Euro too?

It's very straightforward. They recommend a battery charger during the flash. I used one whole flashing my 135i and didn't use one while flashing my 535i but it has a new battery. Make sure to turn the headlights to the off position. Flash will take 38-39 minutes on a 08+ car. I'm happy with mhd

Everyone should really be using a battery tender and charging your battery once every 3 months to extend the life of your battery. Unless you like paying $500 for a new one.

There is a member of e90*post in Australia who says he was able to use US stage 1 but it's a tad aggressive for the fuel. I'm not sure if Euro spec and Australian are the same but he made it seem that they are.

The BMS backends flashed with MHD are US canned bins. The MHD stand alone maps are applied on top of the regional OEM map suited for each car. If a 93 map is too agressive for your fuel, you can run the 91 variant.

Hi all.
Been searching for figures and numbers and can't find anything that sums it up.
I've got a 2007 335i AT with jb4 g5 and am going to upload the bms mhd backend pump flash.
Obviously there's allot of efficiency benefits engine runs smoother. Better timing etc.
What kind of hp gains/specific improvements can I expect to see/feel when I flash. I could dyno before and after but that's not so easy for me but if anyone can help me out incase the improvements are so subtle that it's difficult to tell with a butt dyno that it's actually done anything.
Cars a daily driver or more of a weekend warrior but never gets tracked or raced.
Appreciate your advice.

I'm currently working with Ken on a Wedge etune because my 1M didn't like the OTS maps. What mods do you have? Any plans for more upgrades?

My Kline is usually finicky with flashing but this is just strange.

Car will connect with ignition in stage 1 but with Stage 2 it's unable to connect.

Able to buy flasher and map outside of ignition on so that's what I did. Could this be the cable, otg cable, my phone or car?

If you're stacking the jb4 and using mhd to load backends you spent too much money. You needed the $79 jb4 backend.

Any idea on ways to tell if it's my Dcan or otg cable? Connections are intermittent and never when ignition is on

Are the new "HYBRID" changes going to make their way into the PUMP or RACE maps, too?

No somethings wrong with your OTG cable or phone. The cable gets powered from the OBD port, only data goes to and from the android device.

What is the purpose of not clearing all other modules after a map write? I now have to manually clear these modules and their codes every time I change maps.

Now the overall process is much, much longer than the original time, not 10 seconds faster.
